It could be a #solobikeride , a #cookingtime #readingtime or it could just be #doingnothing . #metime is a very #underrated space but does wonders to your personality. Humans are undoubtedly social beings and do need company. But not always. Having a me time does not make you anti social or display less love to your partner. It only helps you grow as an individual which might reflect in the way you take your relationships forward. A satisfying time with oneself every now and then rejuvinates you to handle yourself better around people.

What we normally don't realise is that it is oneself that we lie the most to. While we know the reality, we first find excuses to convince ourselves for our doings nd non doings.

While you try finding some time for yourself, try talking to yourself and learn to accept your own realities. The answers are always there. There is no need to look outwards. As long as we find that honesty while we talk to ourselves, we often come out as a better person.

Gokarna may be a popular tourist destination with popular beaches like #ombeach #kudlebeach, a lot of resorts, shacks and a lifestyle substituting that of #goa. While all of that is true, gokarna is also famous for its #shivatemple and the #ganapatitemple which dates back to the age of #ramayana.

While one part of the town is completely touristy and somewhat #hippie , the #oldcity still remains the cultural hub. This is a pic of a random local individual who is off to the temple for his routine prayers.

This is a common site around the #carstreet which somehow people do not visit often. India is a land of cultures. Please do pay a visit to these cultural centers and don't limit your travel experiences to just the westernisation of travel. These sights are getting lesser and lesser and hope when these sights vanish completely (just cos a major of our own people ridicule our own way of life and find fascination in adopting outside practices) hope this picture at least comes as a depiction of the India once used to be that we ourselves destroyed submitting to our vanities.

Met the coolest vendor at Gokarna Beach with @itiyaadi @saumya_prasad and @ukpd2502 ! Not only does he sell awesome sunglasses (perfect for those beachy vibes!), but he's also a talented tattoo artist. Even though he's deaf and mute, we managed to have a hilarious conversation (just with gestures!) while bargaining for a pair of shades. Big thanks to @saumya for offering to buy them for me, but I had to win this haggling battle myself! These moments of connection and laughter are what travel is all about.

Don't just travel to see things. Please indulge into conversations. Build experiences. Learn the differences while observing the similarities. Make more sense out of your travels. These are experiences that last a lifetime and are capable of bringing smiles to your face even during the worst times. Who knows, these might just be the memories you would need to bounce back and stand tall again.

Not someone I know. This pic was clicked by @itiyaadi 2 years ago at #katpadykambala

The boy was so cute and was all alone enjoying everything around him. Seemed like he was Happy with every little thing he got to see around him. Be it the #buffalorace , the lighting, the drum rolls, the commentary, a huge ocean of unknown people and practically everything around him. That smile on his face got so contagious and we couldn't help ourselves but talk to him.

He was so happy to have been approached by a stranger with a small strange camera in his hand. He got very inquisitive about the #goprohero9 that I was carrying and wanted to know how it functions. As the conversation went forward, he started talking like I was his next door neighbour whom he has known for ages. This memory lasted and it got me thinking....

I know we need to keep the kids safe. But aren't we going too far in doing so by cutting them off from everything kids are supposed to do? Only because we are busy, we do not take them out and then complain about kids sticking to the cellphones. If it isn't our duty to introduce the kids to how our childhood has been, what were the things we celebrated then, who is going to tell them? How are they going to know? How would they develop interest in things you once felt proud of if you don't introduce them to that phase of your life at all?

Would love to hear your comments.

(I don't even remember if I asked the kid's name but the memory of the kid is so clear and will always remember so)
