Like all these images say, these characters need a comeback.
(Most of these apply to media, not specifically comics, except for like the second and last one)

1. Flash. He is literally the 4th pillar of DC but has only had 2 live action shows, 1 was from the 90s and the other fell off super hard, 1 animated film, 1 live action movie that didn’t do well, (imo, it’s overhated), and 0 video games. So he doesn’t even have that much of his own media, and the hit he does have, a lot of it is kinda mid, mostly because they can’t get his running right, but one big thing for me is that fact none of these writers are utilizing his rogue’s gallery. Feels like most of the time they just put up against another speedster instead of Grodd, Cold, Mirror Master, Weather Wizard, heck they won’t even put this man against Trickster, like just do someone besides speedsters bro or those mid villains like Cicada. Also, in other media they just nerf him or make him a side character (particularly in JL stuff), like remember when this man died in the Injustice movie? That pissed me off so much. Or when THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE couldn’t prevent Black Adam from lightning striking GL in DCUO? I want justice for my goat to fight more diverse villains and look cool while doing it.

2. Shazam. It’s crazy how Captain Marvel used to be THE most popular superhero, his comics outsold Batman, Supes, and Spidey. Shazam was even the first hero to get a live action movie I think. Now no one really cares for him. He has potential but I think his rogues need work for him to have more story potential.

3. Thor. Taika Wattati or however you spell his name turned this man into a joke, it seems like Doomsday is bringing him back but as of now he is still a joke. EMH definitely did Thor best, they nailed making him that mighty fantastical character that he is in the comics. Thor has great potential with stories considering all the norse lore they can mess around with, like how they incorporated the Well of Mimi’s and Yggdrasil in the Rune King Thor plot. Also I hope they stop making him stupid because Thor is really a dumb guy, he’s not Mr. Fantastic but he ain’t a complete idiot. Crazy how Super Hero Squad Thor clears whatever the heck Love and Thunder was.

4. Hulk. Yeah the MCU butchered him badly, no one wants to see Hulk taking selfies with kids, we want to see destruction. Or better yet, how about we explore the darker and identity related aspects of Hulks and Banner? Immortal Hulk did this well. Like Thor, EMH is the best version of Hulk.

5. Martian Manhunter. I say comeback but it’s kind of crazy cause really this man was never popular like that but he was like top 5 best characters in JLU, should’ve been enough to give this man something.

6. Dr. Doom. The MCU better get this right cause if not then Doomsday gonna be trash regardless of anything else. Crazy how both 2005 and 2015 just completely messed up Doom’s character, like bad, no Latveria, no mother in Hell, no magic, like they just completely missed the mark, like it’s genuinely sad that like the 3 best versions of Doom are MUA, FFWGH, and SHS (too my knowledge tho, I don’t think Doom in FFWGH is based around Latveria either but in that show they got Doom’s aura right so I’ll let it slide)

7. Mary Jane Watson. MJ used to arguably be THE best love interest in comics back in the 90s in main 616 and the earlier 2000s with the Ultimate comics but once Paul and Raimi MJ came in the picture, it was ggs. Hopefully her character gets better treatment and returns to that prime MJ form

Alright, here comes another yap session where Raiden talks about the kits of characters in Marvel Rivals.

Aight, I saw this meme where it was talking about how basically all of sudden Netease cares about making characters in the game feel lore accurate by making Deadpool annoying and then it lists some characters who the (I guess OP) thought are inaccurate and not understanding why Deadpool had to be annoyingly accurate while other characters aren’t accurate in general. I was basically going to go over my own opinion of the characters in the meme (Adam, Namor, Rocket, Hulk, MK, and Widow) while also talking about other characters who I feel are off.

For starters, Adam, honestly I don’t think Adam is that off in lore accuracy other than the lack of flight of course, otherwise I’d say he’s fair.

Namor: Yeah, Namor is a character I always felt is off, Namor has defiantly been a guy to throw hands in the comics, the fact that he throws a trident at you is silly, that’s like having a sword and throwing it instead of slashing. What’s even sillier is the fact that it just respawns, as far as I know, the Trident of Neptune can’t do that but it’s enchanted weapon so there’s a chance I guess, also might be different to fit Rivals lore (the likely case). But it would be cool if he was more brawl based and also used his wings more too, did yall see how this man was movin’ in Wakanda Forever? He was double jumping and zipping mid air while destroying Wakandan tech, imagine that in this game, way cooler than summoning squids that do the work for you.

Then there’s Rocket, kind of fair to say he’s inaccurate, it’s kind of like Ultron, both him and Rocket are more known to be destructive, so them healing is kinda wacky but since they’re tech based, they kinda just made it work, although they defiantly could’ve played more into their technology and gadgets, well not really Rocket but more so Ultron, he should’ve been the first one to get an upgrade system in this game.

Next is Hulk. With Hulk being one of my mains and my second favorite character in Marvel, I don’t really have a problem with his kit, pretty accurate in my opinion, he’s punching, leaping, he has a thunderclap, only thing I would say is that he just doesn’t feel powerful, like he feels like Hulk but if he was weaker. I also think it’s crazy that Wolverine has a rage meter and not Hulk.

Then we got Moon Knight. MK is a Batman equivalent for Marvel (Deadpool said it himself, cape, gadgets, and a grim demeanor, other similarities include being masked vigilantes who have a rich guy persona and also beat the crap out of people at night) Now if you know anything about Bats then you know he’s an expert combatant who beats up people with his fists, although he uses gadgets sometimes. MK is the same way except he’s less gadget oriented in other words MK should be more brawl than poke but I’m not gonna trip on it too much since he does use his crescent darts as ranged attacks in the comics so I can get why Netease would make him more poke.

Last but not least from the meme, Black Widow. If yall have seen my posts, you already know how I feel about her kit in this game, get rid of it entirely and give her a new one based around pistols, her Widow’s bite, grappling hooks, and tracking to make her feel more like a spy.

Now some other characters who I feel are a little off an accuracy are Torch, Spidey, and Star-Lord. Now I will say they aren’t like crazy inaccurate like Widow and Namor but they’re a little off to me.

Like for Torch, I personally have always seen him using fire beams rather than fireballs like he does in the game and the whole flame field/plasma prison thing doesn’t sit right with me, like it can be fun but it feels off.

Then for Spidey, he should just have more brawl potential, Spider-Msn in lore is physically stronger than most of the tanks and like all of the dps except maybe Namor, the fact they made him more of a tickle and run is kinda lame. Imagine him having like big web chains or whatever and swinging them at you like in SD/EOT or have him make web constructs or do a flurry of punches like in WOS.

Lastly, Star-Lord, he just doesn’t use elements at all, but someone once pointed out that maybe they’re saving it for a team up.

At the end of the day, I guess what really matters is if the character is fun or not but what do you think?
