Unfortunately, I had to visit the emergency room this evening because the multi-resistant MRSE bacteria has now spread throughout my entire body. As a result, I have developed large, red, fluid-filled, acne-like skin swellings all over, accompanied by intense itching.

Due to a wound that has not healed for over three months, I had to undergo a fourth surgical operation today. The MRSE strain is resistant to all antibiotics, infusions, and medications, which makes the treatment extremely challenging. I can only hope that this was the final surgery.

Had the bacteria reached the bone, there would have been a serious risk of amputation — either of my toe or even part of my leg.

🇪🇺I’d like to provide an update on my current condition following my second surgery on Monday. The procedure was performed again and, fortunately, everything went well so far. However, the infection has not yet fully cleared. Another swab was taken to identify the specific pathogen that is hindering the healing process. This sample is now being analyzed in microbiology to enable more targeted treatment.

It is quite likely that a third surgery will be necessary within the next one to two days. I’ve been dealing with this pain for over six weeks and had sincerely hoped for improvement by now. At this point, I just hope that a third operation can be avoided.

🇩🇪Ich möchte ein kurzes Update zu meinem aktuellen Gesundheitszustand nach meiner zweiten Operation am Montag geben. Der Eingriff wurde erneut durchgeführt und ist bisher gut verlaufen. Leider ist die Infektion noch nicht vollständig abgeklungen. Es wurde erneut ein Abstrich genommen, um den genauen Erreger zu identifizieren, der den Heilungsprozess behindert. Die Probe wird derzeit mikrobiologisch untersucht, um eine gezieltere Behandlung zu ermöglichen.

Es ist sehr wahrscheinlich, dass in ein bis zwei Tagen eine dritte Operation notwendig sein wird. Ich leide nun schon seit über sechs Wochen unter den Schmerzen und hatte wirklich gehofft, dass sich die Situation inzwischen verbessert. Jetzt bleibt nur noch die Hoffnung, dass ein dritter Eingriff vermieden werden kann.

Last night, when my cast was changed, my foot looked even worse than before – it was dark red, swollen, and the infection had clearly spread. I had to go to the emergency room around 11:30 p.m., where I was given medication and an IV. The doctors initially scheduled surgery for today, but it has been postponed until tomorrow. They also performed a CT scan. Unfortunately, if the infection isn’t treated soon, there’s still a risk of blood poisoning. I’m hoping everything goes well with the surgery tomorrow and that I’ll be on the road to recovery soon.”

Leider besteht weiterhin die Gefahr einer Blutvergiftung, wenn die Infektion nicht bald behandelt wird. Ich hoffe sehr, dass morgen bei der OP alles gut läuft und ich mich danach schnell erholen kann.“

Ayağımın şu anki durumu hakkında kısaca bilgi vermek istiyorum. Birçoğunuzun bildiği gibi 19 Mayıs 2025'te halluks valgus ameliyatı oldum. Maalesef durumum daha da kötüleşti. Yara tam olarak iyileşmemiş ve artık açık ve iltihaplı.

Önce şiddetli bir iltihap vardı, şimdi de iltihaptan irin sızan bir enfeksiyon var. Enfeksiyonun tedavisi ve iyileşme sürecinin neden istenildiği gibi ilerlemediğinin araştırılması için hastaneye sevk edildim.

Hatta ikinci bir ameliyata bile ihtiyacım olabilir. Bu durumda birkaç hafta yürüyemeyeceğim.

Son birkaç hafta benim için fiziksel ve ruhsal olarak çok zordu, ağrılar oldukça şiddetliydi.

Ich möchte euch kurz über den aktuellen Zustand meines Fußes informieren. Wie viele von euch wissen, wurde ich am 19. Mai 2025 wegen eines Hallux valgus operiert. Leider hat sich mein Zustand verschlechtert. Die Wunde ist nicht richtig verheilt und ist nun offen und entzündet.

Zuerst gab es eine starke Entzündung, jetzt kommt auch noch eine Infektion hinzu, aus der Eiter austritt. Ich wurde ins Krankenhaus überwiesen, um die Infektion zu behandeln und zu untersuchen, warum der Heilungsprozess nicht wie gewünscht verläuft.

Es besteht sogar die Möglichkeit, dass ich eine zweite Operation brauche. In diesem Fall werde ich mehrere Wochen lang nicht laufen können.

Die letzten Wochen waren körperlich und seelisch sehr hart für mich, und die Schmerzen waren ziemlich stark.
