It was one of those weeks filled with a little bit of everything …big changes, sore muscles, great deals, crazy crowds…and apparently a Werther’s shortage. 😂
First, we gave hugs and said goodbye to my daughter and Onyx 🐈⬛ (my daughter’s cat) who have been living with us, because my daughter officially moved into her new home! 🏡❤️
And when I say moved…we MOVED. 😅 It was quite the job, but we got her all settled in. My mom even came through with our famous family sloppy joes to feed the moving crew because nothing tastes better after hauling boxes and furniture all day than food you didn’t have to make yourself. 😂
Then it was time for back-to-school shopping at the Eagan Outlet Mall with my other daughter. The weather? PERFECT. ☀️ The crowds? ABSOLUTELY NUTS. 😳

People EVERYWHERE.
What I thought would be a little shopping trip turned into a SIX-HOUR adventure. 😂 But we worked those clearance racks and actually found some really great deals at a few of those “name stores” we don’t shop at very often. 🙌 She even decided to get her ears double pierced, so we came home with new clothes, new earrings and considerably less money. 😂
Meanwhile, Bob stayed home and mowed, weed-whipped AND did laundry while I spent the entire day shopping. Now THAT deserved a thank-you. ❤️
So on the way home I stopped at Menards to surprise him with his favorite Werther’s…
…and found an EMPTY SHELF. 🤦♀️😂
Sorry, Bob. Apparently this time it really IS the thought that counts.
Big changes. Little moments. A daughter starting life in her own home. Another getting ready for a new school year. Grandma feeding everybody. Bob holding down the fort.
