Given a pool of very productive, sharp and useful code churning programmers, this one would NOT be on top of the list.
A range of coding topics, mostly around .Net C#.

Can GitHub Copilot *really* build a full ASP.NET Blazor app from scratch?
Spoiler: It *tried*… and stumbled.

Watch me challenge GitHub Copilot (in Visual Studio 2026!) to auto-generate a clean, layered time-tracking app — with strict architecture:
✅ Separate projects for Models, DTOs, Repos, Services
✅ UI-agnostic design (Blazor *should* plug in cleanly)
✅ Zero manual coding… in theory 😅

🔍 What went wrong?
❌ Wrong tech stack in the plan (WPF instead of Blazor!)
❌ Missing service layer → spaghetti risk
❌ Agent mode = *painfully slow*
❌ .NET 10 + Blazor? Copilot wasn’t ready…

Spoiler: **Final verdict = ❌ FAIL** *(for now)*
But the *why* matters — and it reveals what AI *still* can’t do reliably.

Have you tried Copilot Agent mode? Did it work for you? Let’s discuss below! 👇

Migrating ASP.NET WebForms to Blazor with GitHub Copilot!

I tried using GitHub Copilot to convert a simple ASP dot NET WebForms app to the latest Blazor Server project. What I thought would take 30 minutes… ended up being a wild 3–4 hour experiment! 😅

Copilot handled some supporting projects and tests fine, but the **Blazor app itself didn’t fully migrate**. Progress was slow, lots of back-and-forth, and manual intervention was still needed. On the plus side, **NuGet packages stayed intact**.

✅ **Takeaways:**

* Copilot is great for guidance but struggles with full solution migrations.
* Always have **source control and backups**.
* Manual steps or fresh projects may still be necessary.

🎬 Grab some popcorn—this AI migration “show” did NOT go as planned!
