I was dreaming of a foot massage this morning, but it’s not in my budget, so I decided to rest instead.

I’ve had a good rest and now I’m chilling on the rooftop, enjoying the afternoon and taking things nice and easy.

A 24-hour bus ride from Windhoek to Livingstone on the Intercape bus, a midnight border crossing, and a hostel full of strangers who became family by morning...

I was exhausted and definitely overthinking at first, but that ride taught me something powerful: the best travel stories happen in between the destinations. Without taking that leap and meeting those strangers, I never would have had such an unforgettable adventure!

Friends,
I hope you are all ok.
No morning lives while I am traveling until I make it to my destination then will see.
I made it to the airport with my usual 4 hours early.
This small airport is not the airport you want to be that early. Wooden seats but we can phone charger stations... Yeah
All went very well, 3 transportations to get here but it was easy.
Now the moment of the truth, about my fake travel pillow with clothes in it... 😅
I'll send you another post once I arrive to tell you if I had to throw it in the bin because I am not paying the €50 penalty.

For my friends racing for the 4K, I will catch up with everyone once I have Wi-Fi at the hotel (tomorrow)

This was easily one of the most amazing trips ever!

Solo travel never means being alone the whole time. When I was in South Africa (Johannesburg and Cape Town), I met an incredible group at the hostel, and within 24 hours, I had three new travel buddies. We ended up traveling through Namibia and Zambia together, visiting Mosi-oa-Tunya (Victoria Falls).

These people truly became my family for over a month.

Don't be afraid to travel solo; it doesn't mean being lonely, especially over 50!
