Luck had nothing to do with it. One of the things I can’t stand is when people say how lucky I am to be living this lifestyle.
I worked for where I am. I intentionally designed my life to get to where I am today. No, not everything went according to plan but I figured out how to adjust.
16 years ago I decided to take control of my time and started my own business. I worked 100 hour weeks for many years. I made investments with the money I worked for and learned skills along the way in preparation to one day buy some land and build my off grid dream life.
This lifestyle I live today was planned and intentionally worked for each day for many years. I believe in living a life with intention. To live in action instead of reaction.
Like the saying goes, “luck is nothing more than preparation meets opportunity.” I prepared.

Living life Off Grid… living immersed in nature every day makes me feel more connected to life. So much gets accomplished in a day even though life is at a much slower pace. The days aren’t racing by anymore. They feel long again but also complete.
The nights are simply beautiful. There is real magic in the sky. The Whippoorwill’s are singing their songs again during moonlit nights.
