Faoileán

A chairde, Faoileánach:

As winter approaches, so too does Faoileán’s Nearly Dark Tour. From October 13th through October 21st, we will be making our way throughout New England from New Hampshire to Massachusetts, through New York and back to rusty ole New Jersey. We would like to personally invite you to come see us, play tunes with us, hang with us, et cetera - we would love to see you.

Below we’ve pasted an overview of the shows we will be performing. We are very excited to share lots of new material with you all. Can’t make it to any of our shows? You can still support us in a huge way by recommending our shows to your friends in the area and sharing our posters on social media!

Sunday, October 13th - Jalopy Theatre, with Zosha Warpeha - Brooklyn, NY

If you were lucky enough to see Zosha perform with us in Philadelphia earlier this year then you know you’re in for a GOOD VIBEY evening. This will be a pretty textural show, quite dissimilar to many of our brewery-fancy gigs for those who've frequented them. Starting the tour off right.

Monday, October 14th - Birdhouse Center for the Arts - Lambertville, NJ

We plan to play a handful of Faoileán classics this evening, along with lots of new material - we hope to see all you NJ and PA folks there!

Wednesday, October 16th - The Luthier Collective, with Elias Cardoso and Helen Kuhar - Somerville, MA

This show will begin with a set featuring the lovely playing of Elias Cardoso and Helen Kuhar. This is a small, intimate venue - perfect for tunes! Get your tix quickly, and tell all your friends!

Thursday, October 17th - Concert and Contra @ The State Bridge Collective, with Cecelia Vacanti - Durhamville, NY

We are putting on a rockin show, then participating in a contra band with the illustrious Cecelia Vacanti (of Kingfisher) and Matt Vacanti. Come through for an incredible contra experience - if you’ve never been to a contra dance, all the more reason!

Friday, October 18th and Saturday, October 19th - McGrath’s Irish Pub at Inn at Long Trail - Killington, VT

Two nights in a row, we will be playing raucous tunes and rowdy songs for 3 hours to pair with the stellar pours from the folks and bartenders at McGrath’s. An buachaillí return to bring the heat this October.

Sunday, October 20th - Fiddle Workshop and Concert @ University of New Hampshire - Durham, NH

Everyone’s favorite fiddler, Nathan Bishop, will be teaching a fiddle workshop prior to our concert at UNH on this October afternoon. We will be playing an extra long set at this show, tell all your friends nearby to come down and listen!

Monday, October 21st - The Downstairs, with Tim Ball and Mark Bickford - Ithaca, NY

We are finishing out our fall tour with a show opened by the incredible Tim Ball and Mark Bickford. Word on the street is there may be some super-sets with all five of us as well…we hope you’ll be there to make our last night of tour one to remember.

Faoileán

Howdy folks! One month and one day from today, we will be headed to Brooklyn to record with Leesta Vall Sound Recordings in their Direct-To-Vinyl Live Sessions project! We will be recording unique, one-shot studio takes of whatever song YOU choose ((from a list)) and you will be the ONLY person to have this recording. No duplicates, no copies, no re-takes. Just our music forged directly onto a single 7” 45 RPM vinyl record shipped to you.

We need a couple more pre-orders to lock this in, so please head to our Linktree to pre-order your own bespoke Faoilean vinyl: linktr.ee/faoileantunes
