I chatted with other BF2 veterans about our experiences and memories around the game, 20 years after its release! An interesting thing that came up was the sheer variety of subsets within the larger BF2 community, such as those who mostly play vanilla multiplayer, those who play multiplayer mods like PR and FH2, and those who play singleplayer mods and mod the game for themselves (where the multiplayer isn't in the game itself, but in the sharing and learning from other modders). Depending on which subgroup you fall under, you can have a completely different experience with BF2 and love the game for totally different reasons. It's a part of the wonder that makes BF2 so unique and special
