The point now is whenever I went out holding this book, I wonder why people look at me in an amazing way.

Maybe it’s because it took me two months of pure discipline to finish "Music Money and Success" by Jeffrey Brabec and Todd Brabec.

It would have been easy to quit halfway through. Years ago, I could barely read three pages in a month without dropping the book entirely.

But giving up is never an option in my life philosophy.While the general reading culture might be eroding, building myself into a dedicated reader has become one of my greatest strengths.


The payoff?

I gained invaluable, high-level industry skills.I leveled up my passion for music.

I finished my first book in 2026 — and it opened my eyes.

I work with artists and also manage projects.

Reading Artist Management for the Music Business by Paul Allen taught me one simple truth:

Talent alone is not enough.

Many creatives think talent will carry them far.

But in real life, structure, planning, and discipline are what keep a career growing.

Artist management is like project management:

You plan.
You organize.
You follow steps.
You think long-term.

When things are well arranged, creativity flows better.

My 2026 goals are simple:
1. Read 20 books
2. Write my own books
3. Release songs that bless people

I’m learning that growth is not luck.

Dear Music Artists,
Let’s Talk Streaming Money (No Story)


That $1 your song earns on Spotify or Apple Music is not yours alone.

Here’s the breakdown

On average:
Platforms keep ≈ 30%
Master owner (label/distributor) takes ≈ 58%
Songwriters share ≈ 12% (mechanical + performance)


If:
– you don’t own your masters
– your publishing is not registered
– splits are not clear


And your money will fly past you quietly.


Reality check:

Spotify ≈ 588 streams = $1
Apple Music ≈ 75 streams = $1


Streaming is visibility, not automatic wealth.
Streams without structure = vibes.
Streams with ownership = income.


Nigerian artists must stop chasing numbers and start understanding rights, splits, and ownership.


Knowledge is the new hit record.

When Don Jazzy said Mavin spent $4–5 million to push Calm Down globally,
and that it can take ₦100 million to break a new artist in Nigeria, many artists felt something heavy drop inside them.


I know this — because I’ve spoken to lots of artists like you.


Some felt small. Some felt unqualified. Some felt like their dream had already ended before it truly began.


Yes, money is part of the reality. But that reality is not absolute.


And I don’t fully agree with the conclusion many people are drawing — you shouldn’t either.


Let me speak to you clearly, as someone who understands this path to an extent.


Heaven did not plant talent in you by mistake. You were trusted with it because you have the capacity to grow it, even when resources are limited.


You may not have the money right now — and that’s okay.


A well-harnessed gift can still bring you before the gatekeepers who hold the keys.
So don’t despise the days of small beginnings.


Keep watering your garden.
In time, your flowers will bloom — and the butterflies will come.


Let me be clear: Money is good. Money speeds things up.


But be patient.
And build properly.
