At the age of six, I collapsed at home with complete heart failure and was given less than six months to live. Since that time I have survived a pacemaker implantation, two heart transplants, a kidney transplant, cholecystectomy, respiratory failure, lung collapse, drug overdose, thyroid cancer, and a pulmonary embolism.
I am now a 41 year old quadriplegic author, co-executive producer, certified health & life coach, and disability & organ donation advocate who is living with a very rare muscle disease called Myofibrillar Myopathy. I am on a mission to inspire others to appreciate life through sharing my own miraculous survival testimony! In doing so I hope to raise awareness for important topics like rare diseases, organ donation, addiction, disabilities, and mental health.
