I am reflecting on all of the wonderful people I met from New Orleans after the storm.
There was one student who used to pace the hallways and yell,"Give it up for my 🥷🏾Soulja Slim." 😂

Then I had a neighbor who played guitar. He would have my friends and I sing with him and tell us stories of NOLA.
As a teen, I wondered why many of them reminisced their city due to the tragedy.
Then years later, I went there and understood why.
New Orleans has such an amazing culture and resilience.
It is a shame how the U.S. government neglected many of its residents.

I will always acknowledge Cardi B as a White Hispanic. 🤷🏾‍♀️
I don't care how many pictures she posts of distant relatives.

Someone with her phenotype primarily has more European admixture.
A lot of people do not want the representation of an actual Black woman.
So they fight tooth and nail to argue that Cardi is Black.

I really feel for Black women who say they would rather die alone than not be with a Black man.
Black men generally do not limit themselves in their dating options.
They will tell you it is about: availability, desirability, and compatibility despite race.
So why are Black women loyal to a group of men who are not prioritizing them?? 😒
