It’s that time of year where we pretend to be calm, grateful adults… so let me TRY. 😂
First of all, a round of applause for ME.
Year 2 at AIU, working on my BBA, turning in assignments like I didn’t used to Google “how to be a responsible human.”
Look at me now — educated, motivated, caffeinated, and 99% tired.
Growth ➝ unlocked. 📚✨
Now let me talk about my children, a.k.a.
🌀 the beautiful tornado trio 🌀
who keep me thankful, stressed, inspired, confused, and laughing all at the same time.
To my oldest:
Life tried to knock you out BUT NO — you’re built different.
You’re the comeback story Netflix wishes they could film.
I believe in you so much you should probably charge me rent for how often I say it.
You WILL rise up, glow up, and shock the world. Period.
To my second:
The determination… the unstoppable energy… the “move or I’ll move you” vibe…
You’re basically a walking motivational speech with attitude.
Your grit could break concrete.
Honestly, I’m scared of your strength. Proud — but scared. 😂
To my youngest:
The family therapist.
The voice of reason.
The one who somehow became the stable adult even though you’re the youngest.
Thank you for holding the babies, holding the family together, and holding back your judgment when the rest of us act up.
You deserve a vacation, snacks, and possibly an award shaped like a halo. 😂
Now let’s talk about FAMILY SUPPORT:
My brother:
Listen… this man deserves a trophy, a parade, AND a cash prize.
He supported me when no one else could.
He shows up, stands up, and keeps me from wilding out (sometimes).
Real MVP behavior.
My mom and grandma:
Thank you for keeping a roof over my head and preventing me from becoming a survival-show contestant.
If not for you, I’d be living in a tent crocheting my emotions and fighting raccoons for snacks. 🏕️😂
And finally… my dad:
Thank you for tattooing the phrases
“NEVER GIVE UP”
and
“I DON’T GIVE A FU%#”
directly onto my soul since childhood.
Honestly, that explains my entire personality in two quotes.
Inspirational… but also slightly unhinged. Perfect.
