INSIGHT MINISTRY

Hear the word of the Lord, O Israel,
from a messenger who dearly loves the ecclesia.

In the days of old, your fathers walked in covenants, and the promise was given as a light to the nations in Genesis 3:15.
A Son from the line of David,
whose reign would have no end.

Now, in the fullness of time,
that promise took flesh and dwelt among us, not in palaces of stone, but in a manger’s humility;
not with a sword of iron, but with the sword of the Spirit.

He became the suffering servant foretold by Isaiah, the shepherd struck, yet gathering the scattered.

This Christmas, as the world remembers His birth, hear again the ancient words of your own prophet o Israel:
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given,
and the government shall be upon His shoulder.
And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

Do not let this mystery pass as a foreign tale, it is your story, now the world’s , your promised redemption.
The same God who brought you out of Egypt,
who led you through the wilderness,
who promised a new covenant written on the heart.

This Christmas, may your eyes be opened to see the Light that shines from Bethlehem,
the hope that dawns for all people beginning in Jerusalem, and reaching to the ends of the earth.

May the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who became flesh in the Son of David, fill you with peace this season, and give you hope unshakeable. I pray for bountiful blessings this Christmas for you and yours
