It's been 1 year since I restarted my Youtube journey. A lot of you guys don't know but I've been trying to make Youtube work since 2019, more than 6 years ago.
I started Youtube when I was severely depressed, almost to the point of offing myself, but I dropped out of college, went back home and spent time recovering while doing Youtube.
I did eventually heal, but my Youtube career went nowhere. While my peers were getting careers, earning degrees, finding love and getting married, having children, I was home trying to do Youtube and, for a while, I was getting no success.
2024, at 25 years old, I had no job, no social life, no degree, no money coming in, I was in a hopeless situation.
Then on December 4, 2024, out of a random whim, I decided to post a reaction to some anime openings from 2024, thinking it was gonna get no views at all.
That video now has 21,000 views, and throughout this year, I've made the most money I've ever made in my life, my channel is way more successful than I ever would have expected, and after trying this for over 6 years with little to no results, I had almost lost all hope.
For the first time in forever, I can wake up and not hate myself. For the first time, I can wake up and be excited to stream and work on videos. For the first time, I feel as though I'm actually contributing something with my life.
We've just reached 30,000 subscribers, compared to when I had 9,000 subscribers this time last year. But, what I'm really grateful for is the audience. The love and support from you guys have been beyond awesome and I try my best everyday to not take that for granted. I will forever be grateful to you guys for taking time out of your day and watching me act a fool on Youtube <3
I hope you guys will still be here for the future, and I hope I can continue this Youtube thing for much longer.
I have so many other things I want to do, I want to get back to making music, I want to upgrade my equipment, and I eventually want to make fictional stories, maybe even in comic form if possible (completely random I know lol). All of these dreams I put on the back burner because I had no money or success, but now I'm believing they can be achieved again.
I have a lot more to say, but I got most of what I wanted to say already. Thank you guys, I love you <3
