Hi everyone,
I hope your Christmas was great and I hope you all have a happy new year. Today I wanted to talk briefly about the issue of gun violence in our country. What bothers me about how we address the issue is that we only pay attention to it only when there is a tragedy and then we forget about it. I know that is not a novel idea but we don’t realize how detrimental it really is. If we don’t give constant attention to this issue we will never be able to create change. we can't just continue to offer thoughts and prayers after a shooting and move on. Our children deserve better and our society as a whole deserves better. We must first make the issue of gun violence prevention a policy priority for ourselves and then we make it a main priority for our representatives. This is especially important to think about right now with 2026 midterms.

There is currently the worst humanitarian crises in the world taking place in Sudan and we are silent and living life as normal. We can't just do nothing as there are unadulterated evil being carried against innocent women and children.
