Had a Tough week, last week, we lost our duck, Nibbles to a hawk and the same day a snapping turtle killed our duck Mawley. (she was the one that looked the most like a mallard 😔 😭.
We were already letting one of our ducks nest (Fluffy) and now 3 of our 4 girls are nesting. We still have King Lou, our male. ( At last count there was a clutch of 15. We'll see if we have a productive hatch. But for now we are waiting patiently and letting our Ducks do their thing. Hoping for a little bright spot of ducklings through the sadness of losing some sweet ducks we've had for awhile.
