That’s one of the hardest parts of grief. You can understand that somebody is gone and still reach for them before your mind catches up.

Something happens.

You think, man, I gotta tell you this.

You open your phone.

Then the silence reminds you that moment doesn’t exist anymore.

When somebody dies, you don’t only lose who they were. You lose access to their side of the story, the answers they carried, and every future conversation you assumed time would make room for.

“You Left Me With the Questions” is about living after their life ended while the conversation keeps going inside you.

The words still come. There’s just nowhere left to send them.

This album is about the version of me that had to keep living after life stopped following the plan.

The loss didn’t disappear. The questions didn’t either. But I don’t carry them the same anymore.

It moves through love, grief, family wounds, survival mode, breaking cycles, and the conversations you can never finish. Some of it came from things I understood while they were happening. Some of it took years to name.

A lot of us grew up watching adults carry pain with no words for it.
Anger got called discipline. Silence got called strength. And sometimes love was there, but nobody knew how to repair the damage after.

Now I look at my kids and realize they are learning from more than what I tell them.

They are learning how a man handles disappointment.
How he speaks when he is overwhelmed.
What love feels like when somebody gets it wrong.
What accountability looks like after.

I can’t change everything that shaped me.
But I can stop letting it shape the way I show up for them.

Not from trying to sound deep.
Not from trying to make a quote.
From real patterns I had to look at.

I know what it feel like to keep walking back to something just because it was familiar.
I know what it feel like to have one foot out the door before anybody could hurt me first.
I know what it feel like to act calm while still carrying reactions I ain’t fully understood yet.

But I’m learning.💯🖤

I’m learning that every number don’t need a call.
Every door don’t need to be opened.
Every feeling don’t deserve control over my next move.

That’s where **Still Healing Tho** came from.

Not perfection.

Just awareness.

Just catching myself before the old me takes over.
Just moving different because I finally understand what certain roads do to me.

Lately, blue jays have been showing up around me again and again.

Landing close.
Looking my way.
Appearing in moments when my mind is quiet enough to notice.

I don't believe in coincidences.

I believe life is always communicating.

Not always through words.
Not always through people.

Sometimes through patterns.
Sometimes through moments.
Sometimes through something as simple as a bird crossing your path at the right time.

When the same thing keeps appearing, I pay attention.

Not because I'm looking for something to believe.

Because I've learned that awareness often arrives before understanding.

To me, the blue jay feels like a reminder.

A reminder to trust what I've already come to know.

A reminder that not every answer comes from searching.

Some answers arrive when you become still enough to recognize what has been standing in front of you the whole time.

Maybe that's where some of us are right now.

Not looking for more information.

Not looking for another teacher.

Not looking for another sign.

Just learning to trust what our spirit has been showing us all along.

Pay attention to what keeps appearing in your life.

The lesson.
The pattern.
The realization.
The thing that keeps returning until you finally see it with new eyes.

Life speaks.

The question is whether we're present enough to listen.
