Karl's Thailand

As a YouTuber, there are those times when you pour your absolute all into a project, only to be left feeling like the video just didn't get the audience it truly deserves. For me, this is one of those videos.

I can confidently say that my deep dive into the Tham Luang cave is the best video out there if you want to see the actual terrain and the seemingly impossible physical difficulties the rescue divers faced back in 2018.

This isn't your standard tourist vlog. This video offers genuine, raw insight into the conditions on the ground and even features exclusive video footage from the actual rescue.

By a very special arrangement, we were granted permission to go deep inside the cave system, guided by two of the actual heroes who pulled off the impossible—including a real Thai Navy SEAL. We squeezed through the same claustrophobic choke points and waded through the exact same perilous terrain they did.

To put this into perspective: you cannot go this deep into the cave today, even if you wanted to. Access to these extreme depths is now completely closed off to the public. That makes this video unique.

If you want to understand what it actually took to save the Wild Boars soccer team, you need to see this terrain for yourself. Check out the video at the link below—it’s an unforgettable journey into the heart of one of the greatest rescue missions in human history. 🇹🇭🔦

Karl's Thailand

I was trying to get the second part of my Thailand 'Missing Link' adventure out this weekend but an opportunity to film fresh content has presented itself and I'm going to take it. I will try to get it out next weekend. In the meantime...

Due to the popularity of the previous events there's going to be another YouTube Stories event next Saturday (18th April) at O'Leary's Irish Pub on Sukhumvit, Soi 15, Bangkok.
I will be speaking as will a real good mix of other Thailand YouTubers. Starts at 7:30 pm, see you there.

I’ve been a bit quiet lately because I’ve been deep in the edit on something really special.

Back in 2018, a friend, Alan and I hiked 116km through Thailand’s “Missing Link” — one of the wildest, most remote parts of the country, still impassable to anything but dirt bikes (seasonally) and 4WD vehicles.

The hike lasted a full week through dense jungle during the rainy season, with no phone reception — and we definitely suffered along the way.

This was before my YouTube days, but we filmed clips and took photos along the route. We recently caught up and recorded a full narrative to properly tell the story — and it’s turning into something I’m really excited to share.

I’m aiming to have the first video up this Sunday (29th March). Stay tuned — this is easily one of the biggest adventures I’ve ever had in Thailand.

I am so satisfied with how this video turned out.
If you want to see the raw, untouched beauty of Northern Thailand’s remote mountains without having to trek 7km up a steep incline or feel your legs burning—this is your chance! I did the sweating so you don’t have to. 😉

Come join the adventure to Doi Jo Wa Le and help me give the YouTube algorithm a little kick by watching, liking, and saying hi in the comments!

New Post: Myself and Steven Beattie just explored one of Thailand’s most spectacular and mysterious spiritual sites — the abandoned “Valley of Heaven” in Ratchaburi, where Buddha, Christ & Hindu deities once stood side by side. What was meant to be a utopian kingdom instead became a national scandal… and then fell into ruin. Steven also gives us some insight into his own interesting history as part 1 of a series of 3 that I am calling “Walking Free with Steven Beattie””
Watch the full story — told through drone footage, history, and whispers of a dream that was too big to last: https://youtu.be/rp_yxDkTw4E?si=6WZJ-...

New Post: A deep-dive adventure into Thailand’s wild side at Khao Yai National Park where myself and Baldy Brian spent a weekend hiking 2 of Khao Yai’s best trails and attempted (not always successfully) to navigate our way around some huge spider webs! Brian also tells his story of how he managed to find his way out after getting lost in the jungle on Koh Chang’s highest mountain.

New upload. If you're looking for an active day or even weekend that's not too far from Bangkok I recommend this area which is becoming very popular with locals wishing to escape the heat and hustle of the city!
