“After a certain age, home is just like a battle,” Marc told Kris Needs. “It’s part of life. You have to establish your own identity. Parents want you to be carbon copies of them; they want you to follow the morals that they learned 30 years ago. It’s funny because I get on really well with my grandma because she will try and see that it’s 1983 and will listen to my ideas, but with my mum it’s like a battle – not that I hate my mum, just the opposite. I really love her and I think she’s great, but it’s still a battle all the time. My mum wants me to be a certain way and I don’t want to be like that.”
