What's up all - after some deliberation, I have decided to add a podcast-specific channel www.youtube.com/channel/UCSod....
Some of you may know, but if not, YouTube is a difficult platform to grow on and the algorithm is very sensitive - it likes consistency and predictability. But in this case, l increasingly think that the mixture of my content - my solo videos vs podcasts - are harming performance because YouTube tries to treat them as the same when they might serve different communities. This means there is an overall underperformance.
Simply put, l feel it would be more strategic to gradually migrate podcasts over to a dedicated space, where those of you who particularly enjoy those can find them vs those of you who watch the content first and foremost for my personal takes.
That said, nothing is going to radically change - l will add the podcast channel as a collaborator and those of you want to subscribe there go for it. After sometime, l will switch to primarily uploading videos there and swapping the roles round.
