Hey everyone!
It's been a bit, both in terms of community posts and (of course) content. thought I'd give you guys a bit of an info drop to let you know how I'm doing and what I'm planning on doing for the next few months. Get comfortable tho. its gonna be a bit of a long read.


1: State of the Channel
As you know, the channel has been dry as of recent years.

The reason for this is that I haven't really had any ideas for videos and my motivation to make stuff has been mostly up and down, especially since I've been busy with other projects unrelated to my channel which led to some burnout.

But I do want to try and do at least a decent amount of stuff done this year, even if it ends up being like 5 videos.

I won't make ANY promises for this though, as chances are things will change and things will turn unlikely. but that's what I'm hoping to do this year.

Especially since...


2: 10 YEARS!
This year marks the 10th anniversary of this youtube channel!


My channel goes as far as the olden days of 2010, a time way before I knew what Garry's Mod was.
I used to make Ed Edd n Eddy Sonic Sprite videos in MSPaint and Windows Movie Maker.
(which sadly are gone from my channel and don't exist anymore)

Even though my channel's creation date was earlier this month on March 5th,
I didn't have any time nor ideas to make anything.
but according to an archived screenshot I found, at least I have until around July to make something, as that marks the month I uploaded my first ever animation to youtube (which is also gone)

Once again, I won't make any promises, it's very likely nothing will come out of it, but I do want to try and make something to celebrate, and not just make another update video like i did for my 10,000 sub video.
(Especially since that's what this post is for hooh)


3: Upcoming Content
While I'm still in a somewhat burned out state, I do currently have a couple shorts in mind I want to make. one of em was actually gonna be done last year, but ended up being left unfinished due to being busy with other stuff.

If it all goes well, these could help me get more interested in making more shorts in the future.

Another thing I'm doing is timelapse videos. I decided to record my progress on two of my latest SFM posters as their my first time going all out with scenebuilding and thought to show my process could help people understand how scenebuilding works.

If I make more of these, they're most likely to be uploaded on our secondary channel: The Dingus Collective, but I decided that I'm going to upload the first two timelapse videos here on my channel to see if anyone would be interested in them.

Currently the Persona 5 timelapse I'm working on is nearly an hour-long, so chances are the sonic one might end up being at least around 30 to 40-ish minutes depending on how much of my footage I can work with. I hope you guys look forward to these!

Also, mostly as a heads up for people who subscribed just for this, but it's possible that TF2 Content will be less frequent due to me wanting to move on to other things.

I'm not saying I'm done with TF2.
i still play it and my thoughts can easily change depending on future ideas, if i get a sudden interest in the game again, and depending on projects I work with for others, I'll most likely still work with TF2 stuff.
But in terms of future content on this channel, not so much. (at least for animations anyway)

I know that sucks. but in order for future content for something to still exists and happen in the future, sometimes you gotta let it rest. otherwise, you'd get sick of it and never want to do it again, ya know?


4: Learning New Stuff
Whether or not I'm burned out from work, I'm gonna spend a huge portion of my time studying to learn some new stuff!

The stuff I plan on learning includes: drawing/art, 3D character sculpting/modeling, music, coding, Blender 2.8 and learning how to become a better animator

(Keep in mind, while Blender animations will be things on my channel soon, SFM will always be my go-to animation program. so don't worry about that.)

This year is going to be the first of many years where I'm going to take a huge step for what I'm capable of. for a while now I always felt like I've been lacking in terms of quality, feeling the need to improve my work so much.

I want to be able to do so much stuff, both for my content and just personal goals, to spend this year and possibly the next few achieving that.

I don't think these should affect uploads much as I'm going about them at my own pace.
I should still be able to post small videos for fun every now and then.
plus, it's possible I will make short videos made to test these skills out.
so who knows? maybe I'll make a compilation of test videos for my channel to show my progress.

5: Social Media/Plugging

Twitter - twitter.com/Zeekrocz117Aside from retweets, shitposts, retweeting shitposts, you be able to know what I'll be working on as I post some WIP stuff for things such as upcoming animations, videos or posters. sometimes you might get some twitter exclusive stuff.

Twitch - www.twitch.tv/zeekrocz117I plan on streaming fairly frequently, and I'm doing it on twitch from now on. not only will I play some new/old games with or without friends, but I'll also be doing some SFM streams as well!

This more or less has the same benefits to twitter in terms of showing off WIP stuff, but you'll also to get notified whenever I upload a video to either youtube channels, finish a poster, etc. and of course, you get to hang out with others and contact me directly!
(Also, due to Discord ToS, only people 13+ are allowed. if we find out your not, you will be temporarily banned)



And that's pretty much about it!
Even though this year has been very rough so far, I'm hoping to get through it and still do great things as best as I can, both for myself and the future of my content.
