Little Sister

Just like many of you Supertramp fans, I was devastated by the news of Rick Davies' passing. I just couldn't believe it was true at first. I cried a lot. Rick had been with me for quite a while, sometimes boosting my energy and lifting me up, sometimes making me dive into my heart and ponder on my life and the state of the world so far. His music was deep, emotional, stirring you musically and lyrically. He never claimed to be on the "spiritual" side and yet his songs flew much higher than some would think...

Monday was a bluesy day, not because of all the same old faces always watching me, but because I lost a friend, a family member, a companion. I never met him and yet I felt so close to him, musically and on a more personal level. I know it sounds silly...

I will post a tribute video in a few days, not to get views and likes, I really don't care about that as I make no money out of this channel. But I feel I have to do it, like I felt I had to post a video for his 81st birthday which, unfortunately, was the last one. I really hoped he would live on for many years and that his legendary resilience would help him recover from this sh*t. But it finally took him away from the ones who loved him.

He will live on in our hearts and his music will last forever and leave his legacy to humanity.

I send love and prayers to his dear wife, his friends, family and all of the Supertramp community.
Thank you and goodbye Rick, I'll see you on the other side, where the sun is shining.
