Hurricane Isaias is currently beginning to complete its inner eyewall; we can see maximum winds in the aircraft has found around 100 mph winds in this recent pass. Most notably we see the pressure has dropped to ~969 mb. Once convection is able to rotate to the southeastern quadrant, I would expect further development to a Category 3 storm around 125 mph in the mid-late morning hours tomorrow. In addition, we can see the wind shear beginning to creep closer due to an outflow boundary caused by Hurricane Simon in the Pacific and a trough digging through the central united states.
Two things to note about exact intensity at landfall will be dependent on the exact evolution of the storm during the next 12-16 hours. The stronger the storm becomes the stronger it will be at landfall, and the exact timing of landfall will matter drastically as these are fickle things..
Latest models have pointed to the storm ariving a little earlier and a little stronger. I will continue to make updates through short form content and in this capacity.

I will continue to make minor updates in this format for those who are interested.
Hurricane Isaias has been battling light sheer and some low level dry air throughout the day. It appears that the wind radius around the storm has become more compact and we see a pressure dropping to about 982. This storm is close to qualifying for “rapid intensification” and will continue to strengthen likely until Friday morning.

I'm unable to make a video today so I'll make an update through here..
A shortwave trough is setting up over Oklahoma. This will cause hail up to 2" in diameter, with winds of upwards to 75 mph. There is a large, isolated tornado threat that will expand into the nighttime. There is some uncertainty on how much vertical spin will be allowed, however there is a chance that some tornadoes up to EF-2 will form. As always be safe and I'll catch you guys the next time.

More thunderstorms are forecasted for today. While the threat of tornadoes is moderate the threat will be brief as discrete cells that will begin to fire in the next few hours will congeal into a squall line as time progresses. If tornadoes do happen they will happen quickly before fading away. Pay attention to your local weather authorities for information.
