What do you think of when you think of organ music? Do you even think about organ music? Organ music is not only for the church. The organ is a lot more interesting than you think: every organ is completely different. Organists too. Mostly...

🎹 Tonight is Toooooba Concert Night — and I have two very special surprises…

Over the past few weeks I've been quietly exploring two extraordinary sample sets that haven't appeared on the channel before. Both stopped me in my tracks the moment I first played them — and tonight, for the first time, I'm opening them up for the Toooooba family to hear.

I'm not going to tell you what they are just yet.

What I will say is that they're both remarkable instruments with very different characters — and I've been thinking carefully about the repertoire that suits them best. Tonight we'll explore that together, live, as the music finds its way through these new virtual pipes.

If you've ever wondered what it feels like to discover an instrument for the first time — that mixture of curiosity, surprise and delight — that's exactly what tonight is going to be. 🌱

The Toooooba sessions exist precisely for moments like this.

🎟️ Not a member yet? Tonight is a perfect reason to join — your first concert is waiting: buymeacoffee.com/frasergartshore/membership

See you tonight 🎹✨

Many of you know my tour of St. Bonifatius in Wiesbaden—famous for its massive sound and, of course, the "Secret Room" hidden deep inside the organ case! 🍷

With plans for a new instrument on the horizon (3-4 years), that video is slowly becoming a piece of history. If you haven't seen the "Hidden Chamber" yet, watch the tour while the organ is still with us!

Have you ever played an instrument that no longer exists? Let me know in the comments! 👇

🚐 Spring is calling... and the "Travel Fund" is back! 🎹☀️

Is it just me, or does it finally feel like Spring is in the air?

With March just around the corner, It's definitely time to get back out on the road, visit some stunning instruments, and get some fresh recordings in the bag for you all.

As you probably know, Vanessa is still guarding the mystery items on the wishlist, but I’ve managed to convince her to let me add the Organ Travel Expenses back on there. Since I'm the one who has to actually drive the car and sort out the routes, she figured I was allowed to know about that one! 😅

That fund covers the basecamp costs that make these trips possible. If we can get that topped up by the end of the month, we can officially start mapping out the first route of the season.

Vanessa did drop a hint, though. She mentioned that there are a couple of "secret" items on the list that would make these upcoming trips look and sound significantly better if we had them "in the bag" before we head out. I still have no idea what she’s got on there, but if she’s excited about the tech, it must be something special!

If you’ve got a few euros to spare to help us hit those end-of-the-month goals and get the car fueled up and ready to go, it would be massively appreciated. Let’s get 2026 back on the road!

🇬🇧 ENGLISH:
"Kölle Alaaf! Helau! Ahoi! " 🤡

We survived the spookiness of Friday the 13th... so now it is time to PARTY! 🥳

Tonight, we are throwing the hymn books out the window. It is peak Karneval Season here in Germany, so we are turning the studio into a street party. Expect marches, waltzes, confetti (virtually!), and the "Anti-Serious" side of the organ.

Grab a drink, put on a funny hat, and let's have some fun!

⏰ LIVE at 22:00 CET

"Kölle Alaaf! Helau! Ahoi" 🤡

Wir haben den Freitag den 13. überlebt... jetzt wird gefeiert! 🥳

It is a tale of two extremes this weekend! 🎭

We have a collision of the calendar gods: Friday the 13th meets Karneval Season. So, we are going to celebrate both sides of the coin on the Gartshore Gang Studio Organ!

👻 TONIGHT (Friday 13th): The Spooktacular
We are leaning into the superstition. Expect the Phantom, the Toccata in D Minor, and plenty of dramatic minor chords. We are testing the "scary" side of the new Walcker organ.
⏰ 20:00 CET

🤡 SUNDAY (Karneval): The Party!
We shake off the ghosts and turn up the lights! It is peak Karneval/Fasching season here in Germany ("Kölle Alaaf!"), so Sunday night will be all about upbeat marches, sambas, and party tunes. No gloom allowed!
⏰ 20:00 CET

🎁 The Birthday Wishlist
A huge thank you to everyone who has already chipped in! Although we are no longer officially in "Birthday Month," I've asked Vanessa to update the Wishlist over on Buy Me A Coffee - she's still in charge over there! If you survive the spookiness tonight and want to help check off an item (or just buy a medicinal "scare-free" coffee), the link is below!

See you in the chat...

I have a confession to make... I think I'm in love. ❤️

The new Steinmeyer organ (from Organ Art Media) has completely taken over the studio this week. It is quite possibly the new "Gold Standard" for Hauptwerk, and I honestly can't stop playing it. So, I’ve decided to make it the star of the entire weekend!

Here is the plan:

🔴 TONIGHT (Friday): The Ultimate All-Rounder? I’m putting this organ to the test. I claim it’s a "Must Have" that can play almost anything—from epic film scores to English Cathedral tunes. I'm even going out on a limb to say it might be better than the real thing... Come watch me prove it! ⏰ 22:00 CET

🟡 SATURDAY: Toooooba Time! For the Gartshore Gang Illuminati (Members Only). You know the drill, you know the place. 😉

🔴 SUNDAY: Soothing Sunday Songs We are sticking with the Steinmeyer, but shifting gears completely. Join me for a relaxing, peaceful evening of music to recharge you for the week ahead. The lush string stops and soft flutes on this organ are just... chef's kiss. 👌 ⏰ 22:00 CET

See you in the chat!

Hello folks! 'In case you were wondering, my website is currently offline - there was a hacking attempt on the site. Don't worry, they didn't get in or have access to any data, but in order to make sure it doesn't happen again, I'm making the site more secure for the future. In the meantime, the site forwards automatically to Buy Me A Coffee (still under Vanessa's watchful eye!).
