The Honorable Jester

God,
Some of us are tired in ways sleep doesn’t fix.
Tired of appointments,
tired of explanations,
tired of hoping carefully so it doesn’t hurt as much when things don’t change.

You see the grief we carry for bodies that don’t work the way we hoped they would.
The grief of losing ease.
The grief of losing trust in our own strength.
The grief of mourning versions of ourselves we never thought we’d have to say goodbye to.

Lord, sit with us in the waiting.
Not as a lesson to be rushed through,
but as a place where You are still near.

When healing feels delayed,
remind us that delay is not denial—
and that Your love is not measured by outcomes.

Teach us how to live fully even while we wait.
How to laugh without guilt.
How to rest without shame.
How to receive help without feeling like a burden.

For those who feel unseen because their pain is invisible,
be their witness.
For those who feel forgotten because progress is slow,
be their assurance.

Hold what we cannot fix.
Strengthen what we cannot carry alone.
And when all we can offer You is honesty,
let that be enough.

We trust You with our bodies,
our grief,
our patience,
and our becoming.

Amen. 🤍

The Honorable Jester

I’ve been thinking a lot about how we know when to stay and when to go—from people, places, seasons, even versions of ourselves. And I don’t think the answer is meant to be complicated, even though it can feel heavy.

What no longer serves our true purpose with God eventually reveals itself. Anything rooted in self-interest, greed, lust, or fear—anything built on sand instead of stone—cannot hold us for long. When gratitude fades, it’s often not because we’ve lost blessings, but because trust has been shaken. And trust can always be returned to God, even when outcomes remain uncertain.

I’m learning to choose what allows me to celebrate Him—to give thanks not only when things turn out as hoped, but simply because He is present. Whatever drains our health, our peace, or our sense of wholeness is not meant to be carried forever. When something continually depletes us, it’s often a quiet invitation to let go.

Uncertainty has a way of tightening the chest. It creates tension, misalignment, and incompatibility—not because we’ve failed, but because something is asking to change. Change is scary. But fear was never meant to be our guide. God was. Trust Him. Trust the instincts He placed in you. There are moments when you don’t need more proof—when you simply know. And that knowing is holy.

Even in solitude, you are not alone. That truth matters more than we realize. Be mindful of where you pour your energy. Don’t entertain those who only serve themselves. What you offer is vast, generous, and meaningful—and there will always be those who take without limit. Guard your heart without closing it.

I love this image that keeps coming back to me: one snowflake melts quietly on its own, but many together can move mountains. God provides in every season. Even frozen water can quench thirst when warmth is applied. Nothing is wasted. Nothing is without purpose when viewed through Him.

Try to see the bigger picture. Stay observant. Ask yourself gently: What do I need to overcome? What is really at the heart of this? So often, it comes down to honesty versus inauthenticity—being awake to what’s real instead of what’s convenient.

Every path and every season has a way of bringing us home—to belonging, to truth, to ourselves. God is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. There are no false routes when you are walking with Him—only lessons that shape wisdom. Curiosity, when paired with faith, becomes a form of reverence.

You are already whole—on your own and within the greater design. Keep your heart sincere. Persevere toward fulfillment, not perfection. Balance and harmony aren’t something you force; they’re something you return to.

And if you’re wondering how to remain vulnerable while still feeling safe, I think the answer is simpler than we expect: love yourself. Be gentler—with your own heart and with others. Release harsh judgment. Choose confidence rooted in humility. Take time before making decisions. Think things through. Communicate clearly. Let determination grow from understanding, not impulse.

You’re doing better than you think. You are not lost. You are learning. And God is with you—always.

A Prayer for Those Living With Health Challenges 🤍

God,
You see every body listening right now.
Every ache we’ve learned to carry quietly.
Every diagnosis we didn’t choose.
Every part of ourselves that feels fragile, unfinished, or worn down.

Some of us are waiting on healing.
Some of us are waiting on answers.
Some of us are just trying to get through the day without pretending we’re stronger than we feel.

Lord, meet us here—
not only in miracles,
but in endurance.
Not only in sudden change,
but in daily provision.

For those living with chronic illness, pain, or conditions that don’t simply go away,
bring relief where relief is possible,
and peace where healing is still unfolding.

For those who feel ashamed of their bodies,
release us from the lie that we are broken in Your eyes.
Remind us that needing help does not mean lacking faith.

Guide hands that provide care—
doctors, nurses, therapists, dentists, caregivers—
and open doors to treatment, resources, and support we may not see yet.

Give us courage to ask for help.
Grace to rest when we’re tired.
Wisdom to steward our bodies without fear or condemnation.

And when healing doesn’t look the way we hoped,
stay close.
Carry us.
Remind us that we are still whole in You.

We place our bodies, our waiting, our uncertainty,
and our hope into Your hands.

Amen. 🤍

If you’re tired, tender, or learning how to lay things down—this one is for you. 🤍

This song was written from a place of learning how to rest with God—not because sorrow has disappeared, but because I’ve learned it doesn’t have to be carried alone. It reflects the quiet seasons where even blessings feel heavy, where joy has weight, and where the soul needs dry ground to stand on.

Inspired by Matthew 11:28 — “Come to me, all who are weary, and I will give you rest”, this song lives in the hush where God whispers, “Everything is okay.” It’s about stillness, about being held, and about discovering that rest itself is an act of trust.

This song carries a lot of emotion and old wounding, but I look back on it with love. It comes from a season where I felt deeply capable of being myself while getting to know someone—allowing space, honoring safety, and not compromising what either of us needed to feel at peace.

This person was part of my healing. Their support helped guide me back to my faith, and their presence made even “playing pretend” feel safe—more at home in my heart than I had ever known. Through that journey, I found clarity in moments of my life that had long felt like a thick fog lifting.

At the same time, I was reminded that hope deferred makes the heart sick. I spent pivotal years loving someone deeply through imagination, weaving my devotion into something sacred—only to realize that wasn’t what they were asking of me in real life.

That realization became a turning point. Falling in love with someone I couldn’t be with taught me a deeper respect—how to honor who a person is regardless of outcome, to enjoy the journey honestly, even when part of it lived in imagination.

It taught me to lean fully on God and build my foundation in His hands, not anyone else’s. This song is spoken from hurt, but it brings healing for me—to say it truthfully, without trimming corners, and to honor what I felt as I perceived it.

Thank you for holding space with me here. 🤍

“Broken Music Box” was written in the moments I realized God was giving me permission to use my own voice—even when the world tried to convince me I shouldn’t. I understand that AI is not a replacement for my voice, but an instrument—one that gives sound to places where I once felt muted.

This song was inspired by a childhood music box I believed had been broken for over thirty years. One day, while I was praying, it chimed—without being touched—and I suddenly remembered the song it used to play. In that moment, something in my soul remembered too… things I had long forgotten, including who I am as a child of God.

This song is about learning to speak softly but truthfully, trusting that what God places in us was never meant to stay silent.

This song is about healing and learning how to love again—yourself and others—through old wounds. About a season that feels lonely, until God shows you that you’re not alone at all, just being gently aligned to rest.

It’s for those who love deeply, who’ve learned that peace and safety matter, and that choosing solitude can sometimes feel less lonely than forcing closeness. For anyone who has released outcomes to God, stayed faithful to their spirit, and learned that unconditional love begins within.

If this song finds you, may it remind you that love doesn’t disappear when you let go—it becomes truer, quieter, and rooted in peace.

“Safety on the Trigger” is a song about a chapter of my life that even my closest friends and family never fully knew. Putting it into music and words has been an act of obedience and release—one I believe God gently guided me toward.

As I continue to write, I’m realizing my story isn’t just mine. Pieces of it belong to others too.

This song may not be the thing that heals—that work belongs to God alone—but I hope it can be a reminder that He hears you, He sees you, and you are not alone. And maybe, in a quiet way, it reminds you how strong you already are, and how much greater His plan is for your life.

A Moment of Prayer 🪽

Lord,
when pain and fear feel like a blindfold,
be our guide.
Lead us gently when we cannot see the way,
and steady our steps when our hearts feel unsure.

Help us loosen our grip on the things that pull us away from You—
the noise, the striving, the earthly desires that promise relief
but leave us restless.
Teach us to set our minds on Your Spirit,
where true life and peace are found.

Open the door of our hearts to Your presence.
Let Your peace enter where anxiety once stood,
and let Your love remind us we are never walking alone.

We trust You to lead us,
even when the path feels hidden.

Amen.

The Honorable Jester

This song is inspired by the ancient myth of Pandora’s Box and a powerful episode of Xena: Warrior Princess where she is entrusted with guarding it. But instead of telling the story as one of curiosity and ruin, this version listens for what the myth has always been quietly holding: choice, restraint, and the courage to protect hope.

In Xena’s hands, the box is not a temptation — it is a responsibility. And in the sacred pause between opening and refusing to, something holy is revealed: that true strength is not always found in what we release into the world, but in what we choose to keep safe.

This song reimagines the box not as a curse, but as a vessel under divine authority, and Xena not just as a warrior, but as a woman whose discernment keeps light alive when darkness presses close. It is a story about hope being guarded, about power that does not need to prove itself, and about a woman who understands that not every door is meant to be opened — some are meant to be protected.

Thank you for listening and for being part of a space where myth, faith, and imagination can meet in truth.
