I’ve wondered why people are so compelled to be diagnosed and to be labeled and to be put in groups and categories. Why? When you define yourself as an ailment, a group, or category you are severely limiting yourself and telling an old outdated story that no longer serves you. Why do people say things like, “oh my anxiety!” If you do not want it, do not claim it. Also, who you are is perfect! Why do you need a diagnosis or label cause you are shy or quiet. I could get diagnosed with being on the spectrum, but why? There is nothing wrong with me if I don’t want to talk every second. Stop falling for these illusionary societal traps. You are perfect as you are! You don’t need society’s approval or label to be you, which is great! 😊
