Slowly but surely! The stone fabricator came yesterday to do rough measurements. They have to come back next week. The person who does the laser measures had the flu 🤒 He wanted to make sure it was laser measured bc of course I don’t want simple straight backsplash 😆 hopefully wallpaper this week! Still waiting on a hard date from her! The sconces, overhead, and windows light will go in!

Getting there! Sconces won’t stay! Stone fabricator comes Friday to measure and I’ll go pick out material. Wallpaper hopefully mid next week and then finito! 🤌🏼

Funny thing is Tommy asked me last night, when are we renovating our master bath?! The master bath will be way more than cosmetic. I said, say no more! Should that be our next renovation? I still need to do the spare bath. That’s mostly cosmetic though. Still need to address the upstairs hallway and wallpaper and re-wallpaper the spare bedrooms. We need to also completely finish the basement. It’s fairly minor but not something we will do ourselves. We need cabinetry and nothing is level down there so we need a pro! It’s low on my priority list, though.

This is a picture from early January but I was going back and thinking about this picture. We were out of town for a week. I wrapped the hive mostly due to the wind. The fence provides a north wind block but it was REALLY windy and I put the wrap on just to be safe. Yes, I’m aware cold doesn’t kill bees but moisture does. It’s a delicate balance because bees need moisture in the winter but it can’t accumulate on the top inner cover or it will drip on the bees and can kill them. I made sure the top was better insulated than the sides. You can see there is about 3 inches of snow on the top but none on the landing board. The snow on the roof stayed until temps got above freezing. A sure sign the top was insulated appropriately. Thanks to our awesome neighbors who checked on our cats but also cleared off the landing board!

I know, I know. I have been slacking on YouTube videos lately. I have been so busy with travel, sickness, and work. Are those all excuses, yes. However, I like to allow myself the grace of not posting a video every week if I’m pulled in too many other directions. While I’d love to post a video every week sometimes it’s just not realistic with a full time job that comes first because you know… bills! 😆

Okay YouTube friends. Need some help, found these lights that definitely were on the front of the house. The covered porch and wall mounted beside the other door. What period are these? 50s? earlier? They were kept for a reason I assume but not sure they are original. Thoughts?

Turns out having our internet line moved wasn’t as great as I had thought. We have had continual issues with our internet since Tuesday. After 2 physical techs, endless IT phone support, all new equipment and other calls no one can seem to figure out our issues after just making a cosmetic line move. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I haven’t had internet to upload videos since Tuesday. Will hopefully get this issued resolved as an “expert tech” is coming tomorrow morning.
