A guitarist for 20+ years, toured the UK, become a father and have found the time to start playing my guitar again! I now want to encourage others to pick up a fretted instrument and teach themselves to play. So whether you're looking to get started or have had a guitar gathering dust somewhere, come and join me - LET'S GET PLAYING!!!
I'll be covering the basics and more intermediate aspects of learning the guitar including theory around scales, chords and how to work out songs by ear. There a lots of resources online for learning to play the guitar and it can be overwhelming, my personal approach to teaching is to encourage people to find the joy in playing and discovery. Summer holidays are a long stretch with work and the kids, but be recording some lessons soon. I've a small list on the go but welcome to any suggestions if I can bat out any "quick wins" as it were that I might already know!
Been playing There There by Radiohead this week and it's quite straightforward so might start with that!
