*HRE update 11*

Since the last post, I've reached the year 1275! I will post a final preview soon, and continue working on the rest of the project over the winter. Things are moving quickly now, it looks very likely it'll be finished in the coming months.

*HRE update 10*

It begins!
I finished the research in September, and I am now working on producing all the maps for the video. This image is the map for the year 1100, and I'll progress forward from here until the 19ᵗʰ century. I'm hoping to progress by at least five years each day, which suggests the maps may be finished during the winter.

*HRE Update 9*

Over the last few weeks I've finished researching the remaining parts of Germany (except for a few minor corrections). All that is remaining now is a small area in Italy, so I could start producing the final video as soon as July if all goes well!

*Minecraft*

In the meantime, I'm running another Minecraft community server, this time featuring a map of the Caribbean

*HRE Update 8*

Throughout January and February, I've been researching Franconia (pink), the last remaining region in Germany. The new progress is in the lighter shade.

The remaining areas (light grey) are pretty small, and the number of recorded events has nearly reached 7000! We're getting close now!

Coming in December → The History of Bavaria: Every Year

The HRE research is still ongoing; in the meantime, you can look forward to this video next month!

*HRE Update 7*

The first map shows which areas have been researched as of today (light grey is still unresearched).

In the last couple of months I've finished researching the remaining parts of Swabia (green), most of Italy (purple), and made some progress with Franconia (pink).

I now have two co-researchers who are helping to speed up the remaining regions. I'm hoping to complete the research before the end of the winter (I know I've massively underestimated the time cost of this project in the past though).

Hi everyone,

I'm still continuing the Holy Roman Empire project. I'm currently working on a smaller video about Brandenburg (based on the research already done for the HRE), which will be out in August. In the meantime, I'm running another Minecraft community server, feel free to join!

*HRE Update #6*

After the Habsburgs video was posted in April, I've been continuing with the HRE research. I've returned to the notoriously difficult region of Swabia (the green area in the first image), which requires village-by-village research in a lot of cases. Thankfully it's nearly finished. There's also been some progress in Italy. Unfortunately it does look like it will take most of the rest of the year to finish this project, but I still think it will be well worth it.

NB: the light-coloured areas in the first image are newly researched since April 2024.
