I used to play football on wide green fields,
the grass beneath my feet,
and laughter louder than any sound.

Today, those fields have turned into rubble.
The grass was buried under concrete,
and the goal was replaced with stones.

They did not destroy the land alone;
they tried to destroy memory,
joy,
and our childhood.

But football still lives in our hearts,
and the dream is still alive.
They cannot bomb passion,
nor kill hope.

We will play again,
on fields built on justice,
and that day the world will remember
that we were not only victims,
we were players…
and we dreamed of life

Even in the hardest times and circumstances I have lived through, I feel great pride because I tried to portray the reality and suffering of the Palestinian football player.
I am proud that I did not give up, and with strong determination I created many football-related ideas and videos on my official social media platforms, which gained the admiration of tens of millions around the world.
I am proud because I represented a whole community of athletes, not just myself.
