Seaboard system

9/11 Never Forget, the ones who were lost and the friends and family that were left to pick up the pieces, as well as the countless volunteers who quite literally picked up the pieces at ground zero.

Seaboard system

I haven’t been posting to much lately because I’ve been traveling a lot, last Saturday I was in superior Wisconsin for my birthday the next day me and some family members went down to Branson Missouri and I was there for a week. I had an awesome time in Branson and I put some pics from my trip down below for you guys, I took the first pictures as I was riding on the Branson scenic railway in a dome car. The next few are from the Dolly Parton stampede show that I when to, which was one of my favorite parts of the trip. I left Branson yesterday and on my way home I stopped at Osceola Iowa right along the BNSF Ottumwa sub as I was stopped at the Arby’s in Osceola a BNSF coal train came rolling through, I rarely get to see coal trains so this was a pleasant surprise especially when the 4 end of train DPU’s rolled by. Currently I’m back home now and I’m gonna try to get out to the tracks as much as possible before school starts back up again.

I went to superior Wisconsin for my birthday yesterday, here’s some pictures I got. The first pic is from starch road which if you don’t know, that’s where BNSF 1458 films most of his train videos. The second pic is the old soo line tunnel that used to carry the soo line under the great northern lakes sub still the current BNSF lakes sub. All the other pics are just general train stuff.

As I’m sure you’ve all heard, there are talks coming from Norfolk southern and Union Pacific about a possible merger. From the two railroads perspective, it would make sense UP and NS share many of the same intermodal and general freight customers and linking the two together would make a transcontinental rail system. For railfans and the average person the effects of this are to be debated however I gotta say, the name Norfolk Pacific does sound kinda nice.
