Hello friends! I started this channel primarily as a way to connect with others in this community and to record memories to look back on in the future. You can expect videos pertaining to parenthood, life as an in-home childcare provider, pregnancy and growing our family, and day-to-day happenings of our journey.

2020 has had so many up and downs. When the pandemic first started and families switched to working from home, I suddenly lost over half of my daycare families. It was a shock, but suddenly faced with very few daycare families left to disappoint, random events led us to finding a new house, making an offer, and moving when I was 34 weeks pregnant.
More ups and downs. Our buyers backed out the day before closing, leading us to not be able to close on our new house. More rent $ down the drain, more uncertainty. Our doggy boy suddenly began getting sick and using the bathroom in the house.
We got a new buyer for our old house, and it ended in a closing at last. Our doggy was diagnosed with a mass on his spleen. We were guessing hemangiosarcoma based on his symptoms. We decided to love on him for the time he had left rather than exploring expensive exploratory surgeries and treatments that would more than likely only buy him up to a year of life, and a life full of medications and fragility, at that.
Our amazing, beautiful, wonderful 3rd baby joined us earth side. My momma couldn’t be there in person, but she was present via zoom. I got to experience a pain med free birth I was always curious about. Neve has been the most perfect addition to our family.
Shortly after her birth, it was obvious it was time to euthanize our dog, Jax. We could see it in his eyes. And while he could previously be coaxed into eating table food like chicken and hamburger, he no longer was even interested in that. Tj and I stood next to him at the vet and cried over him while his heart stopped beating.
Where we stand now, we are in a beautiful new home with so much space for our growing family and for my home daycare, which I’ve had zero problems filling with new families and even have a waitlist.
We miss our doggy boy every day, but are so delighted in our new baby girl.
This thanksgiving, I am thankful for the ups following the downs.
What are you thankful for today?

Growing up, we each had our own stocking at Christmas time. It was the same exact one year after year for the entirety of my childhood, teenage years, and even to this day, at the age of 29. I decided to keep that tradition going with my own family by ordering from the same company where my mom got ours (Lands End). They have a variety of prints done in beautiful needlework, optional embroidered personalization, and a soft, velvety backing. I love them. Tj and I have one too, I just need to get another stocking holder so I can hang them up too ☺️
Also don’t hate me for decorating already—2020 is rough; we need all the cheer we can get!

Neve turned 12 weeks old on Friday, which means I would be starting back to my job tomorrow had I still been working outside of the home for my old company. Now we are on a different path, with its own ups and downs, but knowing that I’ll still be here with her tomorrow reminds me that we are doing what’s best for our family in this season of life. I know for every family, that plan looks different. Whether you work outside of the home, work from home, manage your children and household full time, or do some combination of those things, you’re making it work and you are AMAZING.
Happy Sunday everyone!❤️

Sorry for the lack of videos this week, guys! We got hit hard with a respiratory virus this week. I'm more than sure it's a cold (that turned into bronchitis for me) but I had a COVID swab just to be cautious. Still waiting on the results. Hoping we get them back tomorrow!
