Operation Sindoor is the codename for a series of precision military strikes conducted by India on May 7, 2025, targeting alleged terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. These strikes were in retaliation for a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, 2025, which resulted in the deaths of 26 Indian tourists, primarily Hindus.

The operation aimed to dismantle facilities associated with terrorist groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which India holds responsible for orchestrating attacks on its soil.
