Our rousing and wildly popular ‘Grand Finale’ ~ “SOUTHERN SOLDIER & DIXIE’S LAND”. Fittingly performed, November 15th, in Gettysburg, Remembrance Day Weekend 2024.
We will be releasing PART TWO of our LAST EVER live performance - the “Ain’t (Quite) Dead Yet - LAST GASP Concert”, held in the Gettysburg Middle School Auditorium, November 15th, 2024.
Recorded and streamed live that night, it was enthusiastically received by an audience of more than 600 long-time fans and supporters. Running nearly 1 hour, 20 minutes, this rollicking video features 16 more of the band’s most popular songs as regularly ranked by Spotify, iTunes, and Amazon.com. It concludes with a phenomenal, not-to-be-missed rendition of their overwhelmingly popular signature closing songs - “Southern Soldier” & “Dixie’s Land”.
Look for its debut at 4 o’clock pm., on Friday, March 14th, the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day, in fitting & sincere tribute to the incalculable contribution of traditional Irish & Scottish music to our own 19th century American culture.
We will be releasing the first ‘half’ of our LAST EVER live performance - the “Ain’t (Quite) Dead Yet - LAST GASP Concert”, which was held in the Gettysburg Middle School Auditorium, the evening of November 15th, 2024. Running fully 1 hour, 40 minutes, PART ONE of this exciting video, featuring 18 selections chosen from a combined list of our Top 40 songs (according to Spotify, iTunes, & Amazon.com), will be released on Valentine’s Day, at 4 o’clock pm.
Its companion, PART TWO, also running more than 1 hour, will follow in a few weeks and will encompass 16 more favorite songs. These, when taken together with PART ONE, will total nearly 3 hours of the 2nd South Carolina String Band’s 34 ‘greatest hits’ as validated by you, our FANTASTIC FANS, by your downloaded purchases over the past many years.
We have been well & truly blessed by your support over more than 2 decades. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel towards the more than 75,000 YouTube subscribers, nearly 70,000 monthly Spotify listeners, and literally countless YouTube viewers worldwide who have compiled MILLIONS of views of many of our videos. We are deeply humbled.
