Anatomy For Sculptor's mission is to empower artists. A team of artists, professors, and medical experts working together to make anatomy visual and understandable for everyone.
Visual information should be the core of any anatomy book or content made with artists’ needs in mind. With our books and online tools, we strive to make anatomy learning intuitive, widely accessible, and applicable to the everyday work of artists. We rely on 3D models, photos, and color-coding to achieve that and only use text where necessary.
The author Uldis Zarins teaches anatomy at the Art Academy of Latvia and is an award-winning sculptor with 25+ years of experience. In spring 2013, he launched a Kickstarter campaign. The fantastic Anatomy for Sculptors community came together and quickly crowdfunded the idea for the book.
Since 2013 we have published three books in the Anatomy for Sculptors book series: Understanding the Human Figure, Anatomy of Facial Expression, and Form of the Head and Neck.
Anatomy For Sculptors
This is the last day of our Kickstarter campaign, and it has been a crazy month! Yet, we still have these last hours to increase our campaign funding. So, if for some reason you haven’t managed to back the Arm and Hand in Motion campaign yet, this is the very last chance to do it: kck.st/3FH4tlx
As an independent publishing company, crowdfunding is an important tool that lets us continue making content and quality tools for artists. Community support means a lot to us, and we’re very thankful to those who have already backed us in this campaign!

Anatomy For Sculptors
Hei,
I just wanted to tell you that we are currently working on our third book - Form of the Head and Neck. All of our resources are focused on making that book great. There is only one Uldis, so we have to focus on one main thing, and currently, it's the book. I've added an image from the book where we had fun with the models, making it gold to show how valuable are block-outs.
However, once we finish it, there will be new videos upcoming, stay tuned.
And thank you all for the kind words and fantastic support! It means a lot to us, knowing that our community is the best. Artists helping artists!
