How do you feel about the new monetization rules?
So YouTube's shaking things up again 👀
Starting Feb 1, 2027, they're basically doubling what new creators need to start monetizing:
Used to be 4,000 watch hours → now it's 8,000
Used to be 10M Shorts views → now it's 20M (within 90 days)
Subs requirement stays the same still just 1,000
Good news if you're already monetized: you're grandfathered in, nothing changes for you.
Bad news if you're just starting out: the bar just got a LOT higher.
Super Chat/memberships stuff isn't changing at all, so that's still the same.
