130 people are trafficked worldwide every hour. Most of these are children (US Dept of State, 2021).

As someone who has spent and still spends a good bit of her time aiding human-trafficking warriors, I am VERY thankful that there is more attention on this matter considering that According to State.gov, an estimated 27.6 million people are victims of human trafficking worldwide at any given time.

I found the film “Sound of Freedom” is highly emotional on a VERY REAL matter, it is still, obviously, dramatized. It's important to note that what is depicted in the film isn’t even half of what we do when aiding these warriors.

Yes, there are a significant number of rescue missions, but it’s not as if someone is calling me every day, and I am gearing up to break doors down. When there are rescue efforts made, there , often, is a sound strategy in place. Yes, there have been several times that I have had to just “get in there” and pray we all get out safely. As many of you read in my book, “Finding Paradise”, there are situations that I have had to go in blindly, not knowing if I would be able to do an extraction. There are even times when child trafficking warriors that have been heavily abused are very resistant to being rescued, because they’re not in a safe and healthy mind space, and they have grown to, sadly, rightfully distrust those who appear in authority and/or rescue positions.

It’s beautiful that the film is raising further awareness, but I must caution that if we, society, over sensationalizes what this work actually looks like, we could , socially, do more harm than good.

Over the next 2 weeks, I am going to discuss this, my work & experience with warriors, and offer some resources that can help warriors health and everyday citizen recognize the signs so you can seek help.

I hope that , from this, you all will gain a realistic insight into what anti-trafficking work is like, and understand how you can help.

Dimming my light is NOT an option.

I am often asked "How do you keep going with everything youve been through and everything going on with your body?"

Listen, this is the only life you have. Stop holding yourself back. There will be challenges, but power through then and thrive, unapologetically.

☆ This time last year, I was deemed terminal, had just had yet another brain procedure and not even 2 months later, my health collapsed so bad that we weren't sure I was going to make it to my birthday, let alone walk again. With a strong team, the determination to walk across my graduation stage, and allowing myself to grow through my trauma...here I am, still. ♡ A year later and I am adventuring and ( mostly without my cane, ) folicking at Cannes in my "Psychic" Louboutins & the "Phoenix" gown by Kara Verano, and filming around Paris.
And when my body was tired, I simply rested. It's all about balance, where you can.

Life happens and we can't always control it, but we can our reactions. Take the time to grieve what you need to grieve, then adjust accordingly.

"But what if others don't understand?" Darling, this is YOUR life. Eff those goblins and LIVE as best you can. Ever notice that it's never people doing better than you that are the ones with goblin behavior? Chronicles of the broke and broken I suppose 🤷‍♀️ Don't worry about others who can't comprehend a language.

Your focus HAS to be on your healing and growth.
