How I traveled from Seville -Spain to Albufeira -Portugal??? ... I always use Alsa Website to book my bus ticket; however, you can use Omio, Rede expressos, etc. For all the travels I did from Spain to Portugal - all the buses were very punctual, clean, staff members were very polite. The bus ride may take 3:45h to 4:15h depending om the number of stops. Some buses will have a restroom inside, others you will need to take advantage of their stop points during the trajectory. The bus driver will let you know how many minutes at the stop location (sometimes it will take 5-10 minutes). While in Portugal, use Bolt App for a cab (much cheaper than Uber), and in Spain opt to use Cabify app for a ride (also cheaper than Uber).
If you decide to rent a car in Seville to go to Albufeira, the journey time will be between 2 to 3 hours- depending on the traffic.
You can also fly into Faro airport - and rent a car or use the bus to take you to Albufeira region. From Faro, the journey should take around 45 minutes by car or bus.
