Choosing Cable Length for Single Robot Track Systems – Simple Wiring Guide
If your robot system uses a single linear track, here’s how to select the right external axis cables:
Cabinet on the track:
• No drag chain needed
• 5m non-flex interconnection cable
• 10m non-flex external motor cable
Cabinet on the ground:
• Cable goes through drag chain → must use flexible cables
• Cable length = Track length + 3m + distance to cabinet
