Alongside home educating two little ones in Oxfordshire UK, I create hand-painted antenatal education materials and teaching tools, gifts and accessories for birth workers. I make art that celebrates motherhood - and honours it as a rite of passage. My mission is to create unusual and joyful things for the many types of people who support mothers and babies on their journey from womb to world.
Although my own hoped-for home birth ended in a traumatic emergency birth and NICU stay, my pregnancy journey - and becoming a mother - were the making of me. I feel blessed that I can offer love and light to the birth world, and proud that I’ve turned my difficult experiences into something beautiful.

I love this quote from one of my tiktok videos - even though it was tongue-in-cheek, it does serve to illustrate the point that having clear visuals really can make a big difference to our understanding.
This quote from midwifery educator. Carla Hartley really resonated with me when I started making pregnancy diagrams. I couldn't find any pictures that visually explained to me what was going on in there in birth - so I made them myself! You'll find a selection of diagrams and teaching tools available to download, which try to explain some of the magic going on in the womb during birth.

From 24 July, the US government are making us pay even MORE fees to send to the US. And it's super complicated to figure out because the percentage is different for different products.
I'd already factored in the tariff and handling fees from earlier in the year on the US shipping costs, but now I've also had to add extra tariff fees onto the item price (boring story why I've had to do it that way).
So now on Etsy you will see prices have gone up 12-31% 😓
I am very sorry for these extra costs that we have to charge you. If your actual shipping and customs handling fees turn out to be cheaper (including the fees Etsy charge) for then I will refund any overpayment to you.
I hope this won't put you off ordering from me forever 🙏
