भूमिपुत्र हे एक युट्यूब चॅनल आहे. आम्ही जन आंदोलने, जनतेच्या हक्कांसाठी लढणारे, पक्ष, संघटना व कार्यकर्ते यांकडून आलेले व्हिडिओ आहे तसेच अपलोड करून जनतेपर्यंत पोहोचवत आहोत. आम्ही स्वतः ला कोणतेही न्यूज चॅनल समजत नाही. जनतेचा आवाज जनतेपर्यंत पोहचविण्यासाठी आम्ही कार्यरत आहोत आणि कायम राहणार आहोत.

साईसृष्टी नगरी, सुदवडी, ता. मावळ, जि. पुणे येथे आज 80 वा स्वातंत्र्य दिन उत्साहात साजरा करण्यात आला. यावेळी दोन कामगार दाम्पत्यांच्या हस्ते ध्वजारोहण करण्यात आले. यामध्ये पावसु चांगदेव क-हे व अनिता पावसु क-हे आणि उत्तम कदम व लक्ष्मी उत्तम कदम यांचा समावेश होता.
गेली सहा-सात वर्षे साईसृष्टी, सुदवडी यांच्या वतीने स्वातंत्र्य दिनानिमित्त दरवर्षी कामगार दाम्पत्यांच्या हस्ते ध्वजारोहण करण्याची ही प्रेरणादायी परंपरा जपली जात आहे. याप्रसंगी महापुरुषांच्या प्रतिमांचे पूजन करण्यात आले तसेच भारतीय संविधानाच्या प्रस्तावनेचे सामूहिक वाचन करण्यात आले. उपस्थित सर्वांना स्वातंत्र्य दिनाच्या हार्दिक शुभेच्छा देण्यात आल्या.
आपल्या स्वातंत्र्यासाठी प्राणांचे बलिदान देणाऱ्या क्रांतिकारक आणि शूरवीरांचे स्मरण करणे हे प्रत्येक नागरिकाचे कर्तव्य आहे. त्यांच्या त्यागामुळेच आपण आज स्वातंत्र्याचा श्वास घेत आहोत.
भारतीय संविधान आपल्याला स्वातंत्र्य, समता, बंधुता आणि न्यायाची हमी देते. ही मूल्ये जपणे, त्यांचे संरक्षण करणे आणि एक जबाबदार नागरिक म्हणून प्रश्न विचारण्याचा आपला अधिकार बजावणे आवश्यक आहे. त्यासाठी समाजाची एकजूट ही काळाची गरज आहे.
त्याचबरोबर अज्ञान, अंधश्रद्धा आणि भोंदूगिरीपासून मुक्त होण्यासाठी संविधानाने दिलेला वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोन, चिकित्सक विचार आणि प्रगतिशील विचारसरणी अंगीकारणे गरजेचे आहे.
यावेळी कॉम्रेड गणेश दराडे आणि अपर्णाताई दराडे यांनी उपस्थितांना मार्गदर्शन केले. काही विद्यार्थ्यांनी स्वातंत्र्य दिनाविषयी आपले मनोगत व्यक्त केले. उपस्थित नागरिकांनीही आपले विचार मांडले. शेवटी सर्वांना खाऊचे वाटप करून कार्यक्रमाची सांगता करण्यात आली.
संविधान जपूया, स्वातंत्र्याची मूल्ये जपूया, वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोन रुजवूया आणि लोकशाही अधिक बळकट करूया!

स्वातंत्र्यदिनी SFI मुंबईकडून NTA आणि NEET आंदोलनातील विद्यार्थ्यांचा सत्कार; अन्यायाविरुद्ध लढण्याचे आणि लोकशाही स्वातंत्र्याचे रक्षण करण्याचे आवाहन
मुंबई, १५ ऑगस्ट २०२६: स्वातंत्र्यदिनाच्या निमित्ताने स्टुडंट्स फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (SFI), मुंबईने मुंबई मराठी पत्रकार संघ, CSMT येथे एका कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन केले. या कार्यक्रमाला जवळपास २०० विद्यार्थी आणि तरुण उपस्थित होते. NTA आणि NEET मधील गैरप्रकार आणि अन्यायाविरोधात झालेल्या आंदोलनांमध्ये धैर्याने लढलेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांच्या संघर्षाला या कार्यक्रमातून सलाम करण्यात आला.
“ज्यांना देशविरोधी म्हटले गेले, तेच देशासाठी लढत होते” या विषयाखाली हा कार्यक्रम आयोजित करण्यात आला. आपल्या हक्कांसाठी, सन्मानासाठी आणि भविष्यासाठी आवाज उठवणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांना “देशविरोधी” ठरवण्याच्या प्रयत्नांना या कार्यक्रमातून विरोध करण्यात आला. NTA आणि NEET आंदोलनात धैर्य आणि चिकाटी दाखवणाऱ्या सुमारे ३० विद्यार्थ्यांचा यावेळी सत्कार करण्यात आला.
कायदा, चित्रपट, विद्यार्थी आणि राजकीय चळवळीतील मान्यवरांनी कार्यक्रमाला संबोधित केले. मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयातील ज्येष्ठ वकील अॅड. गायत्री सिंह, डॉक्युमेंटरी दिग्दर्शक आनंद पटवर्धन आणि SFI चे माजी राष्ट्रीय सहसचिव, महा. सचिव कॉम्रेड डॉ अशोक ढवळे यांनी उपस्थितांना संबोधित केले.
SFIचे माजी सदस्य कॉम्रेड शैलेंद्र कांबळे तसेच DYFIचे प्रतिनिधीही कार्यक्रमाला उपस्थित होते. SFI, CITU, कामगार संघटना आणि इतर लोकशाहीवादी संघटनांचे कॉम्रेड आणि कार्यकर्तेही मोठ्या संख्येने सहभागी झाले. यामुळे विद्यार्थी, युवक आणि कामगार चळवळीतील व्यापक एकजूट दिसून आली.
कार्यक्रमात सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमही झाला. अमन पांडे, ज्यांना ‘गालिबन कबीर’ म्हणून ओळखले जाते, विजय साहिर आणि कुसुम यांनी क्रांतिकारी कविता सादर केल्या. त्यांच्या कवितांमध्ये प्रतिकार, स्वातंत्र्य, न्याय आणि सामान्य लोकांच्या संघर्षांचे विषय होते. सत्यशोधक छात्र संघटन यांच्या समूहाने सादर केलेल्या गाण्यांच्या मैफिलीने कार्यक्रमाला सांस्कृतिक रंग दिला. कॉम्रेड आदर्श आणि त्यांच्या सहकाऱ्यांनी प्रभावी नाटकही सादर केले.
भारताच्या स्वातंत्र्यसैनिकांच्या बलिदानातून मिळालेले स्वातंत्र्य केवळ दरवर्षी समारंभ करून साजरे करण्यापुरते मर्यादित राहू शकत नाही, हा कार्यक्रमाचा मुख्य संदेश होता. आजच्या काळातील अन्यायाविरुद्धच्या संघर्षातून या स्वातंत्र्याचे रक्षण आणि विस्तार केला पाहिजे.
SFI मुंबईने सांगितले की, विद्यार्थी चळवळ केवळ परीक्षा आणि शिक्षणाशी संबंधित प्रश्नांपुरती मर्यादित राहू नये. विद्यार्थ्यांनी आपल्या आजूबाजूच्या प्रत्येक अन्यायाविरुद्ध प्रश्न विचारले पाहिजेत आणि कामगार, शेतकरी, आदिवासी, महिला तसेच आपल्या हक्कांसाठी लढणाऱ्या सर्व लोकांच्या संघर्षांमध्ये त्यांच्या सोबत उभे राहिले पाहिजे. विद्यार्थ्यांनी आपल्या वैयक्तिक प्रश्नांच्या पलीकडे जाऊन समाज आणि देशातील मोठ्या परिस्थितीला समजून घेतले पाहिजे आणि जिथे जिथे अन्याय होईल तिथे आवाज उठवला पाहिजे, असे आवाहन करण्यात आले.
सत्तेला प्रश्न विचारणे आणि अन्यायाला विरोध करणे हे लोकशाहीच्या रक्षणासाठी आवश्यक आहे, असेही SFIने सांगितले. लोकशाही हक्क आणि स्वातंत्र्यावर होणारे हल्ले विद्यार्थी शांतपणे पाहत बसू शकत नाहीत. विरोधाचे आवाज दाबण्याचा, लोकशाही संस्था कमकुवत करण्याचा आणि मतभेदांचा आवाज बंद करण्याचा प्रयत्न करणाऱ्या फॅसिस्ट शक्तींविरुद्ध विद्यार्थ्यांनी एकत्रितपणे लढले पाहिजे.
आजच्या विद्यार्थ्यांच्या संघर्षांना भारताच्या स्वातंत्र्य चळवळीच्या मोठ्या परंपरेशी जोडणे हा या कार्यक्रमाचा उद्देश होता. अन्यायाविरुद्ध आंदोलन केल्यामुळे ज्यांना “देशविरोधी” म्हटले गेले, ते विद्यार्थी प्रत्यक्षात प्रश्न विचारणे, अन्यायाविरुद्ध उभे राहणे आणि त्याग करणे या त्याच परंपरेला पुढे नेत आहेत, ज्यातून भारताचे स्वातंत्र्य मिळाले.
सुमारे २०० विद्यार्थी आणि तरुणांसोबत वकील, चित्रपट दिग्दर्शक, कवी, कलाकार, राजकीय कार्यकर्ते तसेच विद्यार्थी, युवक आणि कामगार संघटनांचे प्रतिनिधी या कार्यक्रमात सहभागी झाले. विद्यार्थ्यांनी अन्यायाविरुद्ध प्रश्न विचारावेत, जनतेच्या संघर्षांच्या बाजूने उभे राहावे आणि लोकशाही व संविधानिक स्वातंत्र्याचे रक्षण करण्यासाठी लढावे, या नव्या निर्धाराने कार्यक्रमाची सांगता झाली.

Demand for infrastructure of Shejwad student hostel: SFI protests in front of the District Collector's office
Karwar, August 12: The Students Federation of India (SFI) protested in front of the District Collector's office demanding the provision of necessary infrastructure to the post-matric boys' hostel of the Minority Welfare Department in Shejwad village of Karwar taluk.
More than 60 students live in the hostel in Shejwad, and the students are facing severe difficulties due to the lack of proper transport system to go to colleges in Karwar city every day.
NWKRTC buses should be given mandatory stops for the convenience of the students of the hostel. The protesters demanded that the safety of the students at night be ensured due to the lack of street lights on the road leading to the hostel, and street lights should be installed immediately.
Along with this, it was demanded that various problems of the students including improvement in the quality of breakfast, adequate food menu, more care by the warden, solution to the drinking water problem, health facilities, establishment of a library in the hostel should be resolved immediately.
SFI has demanded that the concerned authorities take urgent action considering the academic interests and safety of the students.

Massive protests were held across Maharashtra today in response to the Jail Bharo Andolan called jointly by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha and the Joint Platform of Central Trade Unions & Independent Federations, with thousands of workers, peasants and agricultural laborers demanding fair crop prices for farmers, repeal of Free Trade Agreements that threaten Indian agriculture, scrapping of the four labour codes, guaranteed minimum wage of ₹42,000 for all workers, and restoration of MGNREGA with 200 days of guaranteed work and ₹700 daily wage.
AIKS National President Ashok Dhawale led a 5000-people strong rally in Dahanu that gheraoed the Tehsildar and courted arrest. Huge mobilizations and militant protests were witnessed across the state.

Representatives of the Tamil Nadu Untouchability Eradication Front (TNUEF), the All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA), and the Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch (DSMM) met the Commission headed by retired Justice KN Basha in Chennai, demanding a comprehensive standalone law to prevent caste-based honour killings in Tamil Nadu.
The delegation submitted a detailed memorandum outlining measures to prevent caste-based honour killings and proposed a model law, urging the Commission to recommend a strong legal framework and effective enforcement mechanisms to the Tamil Nadu government to curb these heinous caste crimes.
The delegation included DSMM All India Vice Presidents Subhashini Ali and K Samuel Raj, All India Joint Secretary K Swaminathan, AIDWA Vice President U Vasuki, Tamil Nadu Joint Secretary M Chitrakala, TNUEF General Secretary P Sugandhi, State Committee member K Madasamy, and advocates TR Udhayakumar and Prithika. Honour killings are murders rooted in caste oppression. Tamil Nadu needs a strong, dedicated law to end them.

The 24th International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties (IMCWP) concluded in Havana on August 9 after two days of discussions, bringing together more than 100 delegates representing 46 communist and workers’ parties from around the world. Emilio Lopez, Head of the International Department of the Communist Party of Cuba, presided over the sessions of the Working Group and the Plenary of the IMCWP. The Plenary adopted a joint declaration reaffirming solidarity with the people of Cuba, who are resisting US imperialist aggression.
The theme of the 24th IMCWP was: “Defending and honouring the legacy of the Cuban Revolution on the centenary of Fidel’s birth; deepening solidarity with socialist Cuba; strengthening our joint actions; and uniting our forces for peace and against imperialist aggression.”
Polit Bureau member and Head of the International Department R Arun Kumar represented the Communist Party of India (Marxist) at the meeting. He paid tribute to Fidel Castro's enduring revolutionary legacy and called for strengthening international solidarity with socialist Cuba in the face of escalating US imperialist aggression. Citing US interventions in Latin America and attempts to criminalise communism under the Trump administration, he presented the CPI(M)’s view that the attack on Cuba is part of a coordinated global offensive by imperialism against every force that dares to resist.
Reaffirming Marxism-Leninism as the most valid and comprehensive scientific framework for understanding and transforming society, the party’s intervention stressed that capitalism is a moribund system with inherent contradictions — its tendency toward crisis, inequality, and war. On the other hand, the resilience of socialist Cuba and the unprecedented development of China under Communist leadership demonstrate that Marxism-Leninism is a living, vibrant science capable of overcoming immense challenges and delivering tangible benefits to working people. It is the ideology of the future.
