The Communist Party of India warmly congratulates the Secular Progressive Government of Tamil Nadu on the unveiling of the statue of Karl Marx at the Connemara Public Library adjoining the Egmore Museum in Chennai. We extend our sincere thanks to Chief Minister M. K. Stalin for this meaningful initiative that honours one of the most influential thinkers in human history.
Karl Marx’s life and work reshaped the course of world history. Through his profound analysis of capitalism class exploitation and the material foundations of society Marx provided generations of the oppressed with a scientific understanding of injustice and a vision for liberation. His ideas inspired historic struggles for workers’ rights social equality democracy and human dignity across continents. Marx also closely studied colonialism and wrote incisively on India exposing how British imperial rule devastated its economy destroyed indigenous industries and deepened social misery, an analysis that remains vital to understanding our past and present.
The unveiling of this statue reflects the deep ideological synergy between Marxist thought and the rationalist Dravidian movement. Both traditions stand firmly against exploitation, inequality, superstition, oppression and uphold reason, human dignity and collective emancipation. This shared legacy has shaped Tamil Nadu’s progressive path grounded in social justice, self-respect and unity.
At a time when inequality is widening and divisive, Fascist forces seek to weaken democratic and secular values, Karl Marx’s ideas continue to endure, guiding struggles for economic justice, social equality and a humane future. This tribute is not merely to a statue but to an idea that unites progressive forces and strengthens our collective resolve to build a just and egalitarian society.
Many Guest workers in Kerala do not see the state merely as a place of employment, but as their own homeland. Those who arrived in Kerala in search of work during difficult phases of their lives have not faced disappointment. The government and the people have consistently embraced and supported this working community. In return for the care and affection shown by the land that gave them shelter, they express their gratitude and solidarity. The reception extended by Guest workers to the LDF Development Advance March led by Polit Bureau member and CPIM Kerala State Secretary M. V. Govindan Master that arrived in Dharmadam (Kannur) was an unforgettable experience.

नाशिक जिल्हा अंगणवाडी कर्मचारी संघटना सीटुच्या वतीने सुरगना येथे अंगणवाडी कर्मचाऱ्यांच्या प्रलंबित प्रश्नाबाबत तसेच कामगार विरोधी ४ लेबर कोड या विरोधात देशातील कामगार संघटनेने पुकारलेला देशव्यापी संपाबाबत मेळावा आयोजित करण्यात आला होता हा मेळावा अंगणवाडीच्या जिल्हा अध्यक्ष कॉ मंजुळा गावित यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली घेण्यात आला.
या मेळाव्यास नाशिक जिल्हा अंगणवाडी संघटना सीटुच्या जिल्हा सेक्रेटरी कॉ छाया जाधव यांनी मार्गदर्शन करून अंगणवाडी कर्मचाऱ्यांचे प्रलंबित प्रश्न व मेंबरशिप करण्याबाबत चर्चा करण्यात आली तसेच सिटुचे जिल्हा सेक्रेटरी कॉ देविदास आडोळे यांनी देशव्यापी संप कशासाठी या बाबतची माहिती या मेळावा प्रसंगी अंगणवाडी व आशा कर्मचाऱ्यांना देऊन १२ फेब्रुवारी २०२६रोजीच्या संपात अंगणवाडी कर्मचारी व आशा गटप्रवर्तक यांनी मोठ्या संख्येने सहभागी होऊन संप यशस्वी करण्याचे आव्हान या वेळी करण्यात आले.
कॉम्रेड अरविंद शहापुरे यांनी मेळावा प्रसंगी अंगणवाडी कर्मचाऱ्यांना मार्गदर्शन करून सांगितले की मार्च अखेर पर्यंत सर्वांनी मेंबरशिप करून संघटनेला सहकार्य करावे तसेच आजच्या मेळाव्यामध्ये अंगणवाडी कर्मचाऱ्यांनी एकमताने निर्णय घेऊन संपात सहभागी होण्याचा ठराव करण्यात आला.
तसेच या मेळाव्यात अंगणवाडी कर्मचाऱ्यांची सुरगाणा तालुका कमिटी निवड करण्यात येऊन अध्यक्ष म्हणून कॉम्रेड मंजुळा गावित सरचिटणीस कॉ सविता चौधरी व खजिनदार म्हणून पुष्पा बागुल यांच्या सह १५ कर्मचाऱ्यांची तालुका कमिटी निवड करण्यात आली मेळावा प्रसंगी उपस्थित सीताबाई गवळी आशा संघटनेच्या जिल्हा कार्याध्यक्ष कॉ बेबी गवळी उपस्थित अंगणवाडी कर्मचारी व आशा कर्मचारी
A #cpim delegation visited Tabish Ahmad Gani and Danish Ahmad Gani and their family, who were victims of a communal attack in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The delegation comprised Polit Bureau member Vijoo Krishnan, Uttarakhand State Secretary Rajendra Purohit, State Secretariat member Nitin Maleta, and State Committee members Kamruddin and Purushottam Badoni.
Tabish and his brother Danish, residents of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir and tenth-grade students, were victims of religious profiling by Hindutva goons. The two brothers were attacked on 28 January while helping their family during their winter vacation by selling shawls in Vikas Nagar, Dehradun. Tabish suffered a serious head injury and a fractured shoulder. Danish also suffered injuries, including a fractured arm.
The BJP government, which is responsible for creating the atmosphere of hatred that resulted in the attack, has not taken any action against the culprits, nor provided any assistance to the family. The delegation assured the family that the CPI(M) would provide all legal and medical assistance and stand with them in their fight for justice.
