OK OK OK… You know that book “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep”?

For this week’s challenge we want you to exercise your imaginations.

You own a pet, real or robotic, it doesn’t matter. Your pet is hyperactive. If it was a human it would probably be diagnosed with ADHD. In other words the pet is even more loopy than you are.

Whilst busy in the studio creating your latest jam-masterpiece, the phone rings and you are called away on important urgent business. Your pet has been snoozing quietly in the corner of the studio whilst you work, and in all fairness you completely forget they were there as you dash out of the room, foolishly closing the door behind you.

An hour or so later, urgent matters seen to, you get back and prepare to finish off your jam, only to find your pet has been taking advantage of the facilities in the studio and created what they think is a magnus opus of their very own. Their adoring (real or programmed) eyes stare up at you for approval as you listen to the fruits of their labour.

What hits your ears is an onslaught like you have never heard before, a mind-blowing jam which either endears you to your pet even more or makes you shiver with fear at its unleashed capabilities!

The challenge this week is of course to imagine this jam and attempt to portray it to the rest of us. Remember to tell us the name of your pet and anything else you care to share about them!

Jams must be made during this weekend. Please comment below with a link to the jam, and complete the form at the attached link to enter your jam in the stream through. Deadline for entry will be the start of the stream on Monday, please keep an eye out here for the event details. Avoid using any copyrighted audio or video. Keep your jam to five mins or under. Most importantly - HAVE FUN!

Well.... we have 2 escapees on the loose, gone without a trace. They escaped the lab. We are hot on the tail of 3 more and have surrounded another 2 and their capture is imminent. The other 32 are in captivity and are being returned to the lab as we speak.

Greetings Jammers! This week we want you to make a jam using only two sound-making boxes! You might pick Drums and Bass, or Pads and Lead, or two drum boxes. Whatever you use, please limit your sound-making boxes to 2, you can use another box for effects if needed. Any genre, any tempo, but use only 2 sound sources/boxes/synths - plus external FX.
Please keep your jams under 5 minutes in length, please avoid using any copyrighted materials in your sounds, and videos. All submissions must be made over the challenge period. Challenge window is from now, until Monday at 19:59 UK time.
