WEEKEND CHALLENGE: ONE SOUND
Your challenge is to make a jam using just one sound. You can sample it, twist it, distort it pitch it modulate it in as many ways as you like, but everything has to start with just one sound. That could be a sample, an oscillator, a “real instrument” (the horror the horror), whatever strikes your fancy. You can of course use effects to enhance (or destroy) your jam if you so wish. But the key is to originate your whole jam from one sound. Make a set of drum sounds from kicking the dustbin once. Make a drone jam from recording a belch. Sing us a song which only has one word. The possibilities are endless but there can be only one sound to start with. Let us know what your original starting sound is, even better, showcase the starting point within your jam somehow! This is a fairly technical challenge but also a test of your imagination.
Usual criteria - please keep your jams under 5 minutes; don’t use copyrighted audio or visual content; deadline for submissions is the start of the stream (usually 8pm UK time on Monday); use the form at the link below to submit your jam - YouTube link if at all possible please. Most importantly - HAVE FUN!

Hello jammers it's this time of the year again!
it's summer and most of us take some days off and head to the islands head to the forests to take some time for ourselves and recharge our batteries. I’m curious what kind of gear what kind of equipment are you taking with you?
So for this weekend challenge I want you to pick a selection of kit that you would travel with and make a jam using them T

We will be hosting 3 days of music on 9th - 10th - 11th Ocotber and it will be even bigger badder and better than before because obviously, YOU WONDERFUL LOT ARE PLAYING

This Form is to register interest. By signing up, you are commiting to producing a 10-15 minute length set that will be played on one of the three days. We really need utter commitment to this as your name will be on posters and will also be on HWJs merch and it's poor musicianmanship to be a no show.
Lineups are handpicked and date and times will be displayed closer to the event. ABSOLUTELY keep it within the set length as we reserve the right to chop or even pull your performance all together, regardless of personal feelings to ensure timely and prompt running. (It's a good long slog for the hosts!).

Greetings Jammers!
As we are in the midst of the summer heat in the northern hemisphere, rain has been absent for some time. The ground is dry, and patches of forests and fields are at risk of wildfires. Some areas are already on fire. I’m always amazed at the firefighters who have to fly planes, pick up water, and drop it on the fires.
Your challenge this weekend, it so write a scorcher of a theme for the firefighting planes. Imagine you are supporting the making of a film inspired by the firefighting planes, and need to write an inspirational soundtrack that represents the danger, the heat, and the epic nature of their work.
Any genre, tempo is ok, please keep jams to under 5 minutes, please don’t use copyrighted audio or video. You have until Monday 3rd of August until the stream starts to get your jam in. Please complete the following form for your entry.
