CHEESY POLYWOTSITS '26 CHALLENGE
We would like you to experiment with Polyrhythms, and/or polymeter - BUT MAKE IT CHEESY.
We can discuss at length what the difference between these is… (I’ll share some images below this comment), but basically Poly rhythm relates to conflicting rhythms within the same bar (e.g. playing triplet crotchets over four crotchets - a crotchet is also known as a quarter note in the US).
You can choose to have many polyrhythmic/metric (hereby known as… Polywotsits!) elements in your jam, or just one. You can go with any genre you like… but MAKE IT CHEESY
I wanna hear cheddar in that sample chopin, Brie on your 303.
Let there be Manchego your Monologue!

404 error is a code for a missing file or web page. This weekend your challenge is to make a jam with a significant element missing. A couple of examples: make a techno jam without a kick; or maybe run your entire jam through a high pass filter and have all the bass frequencies missing. Get creative, try to think of the biggest element that could he missing from your jam while still keeping it interesting and fulfilling.
Bonus round: various models of the SP-404 are popular samplers. You can also celebrate 404 day by making your jam with nothing but a sampler (any kind).
The challenge is open to jams made during this weekend, and keep it under 5 minutes. Don’t use copyrighted video or audio so we don’t have problems with the streamthrough. Post jams in the form below. We will have a streamthrough with all the jams on Monday evening and a playful vote until Thursday. The form will close once the stream starts, so no late entries, please.
