*TL;DR: I have unlisted my older videos unrelated to my current focus of software engineering for the sake of posterity, but don't fret - you can still watch them in their respective playlists if you really want to!*

Hello, everybody! Those of you who have been following my channel for this long may be wondering about the abrupt major change in its content and presentation. To tell the truth, something like this has been a long time coming, mainly held back by my indecisiveness on how to go about the matter.

Since the beginning, the main focus of this channel has been 3D Blender animation, soon branching out into smaller audiovisual editing projects. The scope and tone of each video varied greatly, and this was largely a product of my uncertainty towards what kind of work I wanted associated with my name, especially before my college studies and career were set in stone. It ultimately felt like I was trying to have my cake and eat it too - I wanted to experiment and have fun, but I also wanted to showcase my abilities to make marketable material. But none of the resulting videos ever seemed to be approaching industry-grade, in no small part due to factors such as the reliance on copyrighted material, heavy inspiration from niche, non-industry-focused YouTubers, and overall questionable directing choices. This uncertainty would sporadically manifest itself as the unceremonious deletion of videos I deemed as particularly distasteful at some point following their initial releases, regardless of their levels of ambition.

That said, now that I am employed and have a more certain focus of software engineering (better seen on my website (felixwarner.com/) and GitHub account (github.com/dr-cooder )), it is unlikely that I will continue to produce the aforementioned styles of content at all. As such, I would like to distance those videos from my name in order to absolve myself of such connotations and expectations, yet still leave most of them available to viewers for historical purposes, hence the decision to unlist and relegate them to categorized playlists viewable on the channel home page. But if this informal retirement should truly come as a disappointment to anyone, I would advise them to instead view it as an opportunity to carry the torch. To learn the fundamentals of 3D animation and audiovisual editing to recapture what they see as the defining aspects of what they've been looking up to, just as I've been doing this whole time.

Keep on truckin'!
