If anyone is curious about the "Join" button on the channel, don't buy it. It's not set up and there are no membership perks for this channel. It's only activated for experimental purposes.

I've probably said this once before, but I'll say it again.

I didn't deserve this plaque.

I was given a chance to start one of the most sought-after careers anyone could ask for, and I wasn't prepared for it. I made tasteless videos that I'm not proud of anymore, and I didn't give my audience the content they deserved.

When I was growing up and YouTube was on the steady rise, my dream job went from being a professional skateboarder to running a big YouTube channel. (totally original and inspiring upbringing, I know) I didn't gain the resources to upload YouTube videos until 2016, and by that time, I didn't think I had what it took to entertain people or gain an audience. But because I enjoyed filming and editing, I still uploaded videos of all types, with no real consistency, goals, or recurring theme. My idea was that maybe some of the videos will entertain a random person that comes across them on their feed, rather than trying to build an audience that will return to watch every video. Somehow, this plan worked, and I got insanely lucky early on with a couple of my early videos.

But something else happened. People started following. People started leaving comments. People kept track of when I was uploading, and they were celebrating when I did. They came back because they genuinely found my channel, as a whole, entertaining. (which feels really weird to even type out) But I didn't change anything. I didn't try to create more videos for my audience, and I didn't focus on a specific subject or genre that they found entertaining. I wanted YouTube to stay fun for me, and I didn't want to get burned out. So I kept making whatever videos I wanted to make, whether it be riding my bike, playing bad mobile games, or going to car shows.

I get a lot of comments talking about how I fell off or how my channel is dead. In reality, I don't think I ever truly made it as a "YouTuber" as far as numbers go. I've never considered myself one, at least. I've always had a significantly smaller number of viewers than my subscriber count, thanks to my inconsistent upload schedule and the variety of videos I make. It most definitely has gotten a lot worse in the recent year, and it most definitely won't get any better. But that's how the cookie crumbles for most channels, especially channels with a less than tasteful history.

I'm not even sure why I'm saying all of this. I guess I just feel bad for the people that stick around, waiting for me to drop another video they find worth watching. I feel bad for not putting in the effort when I had the chance. I feel bad for being such an a-hole in videos when I started out. I feel bad for not engaging with the audience that helped this channel get to where it is today. From the outside looking in, it probably seems as if I don't care about this channel or the people that follow it, when in reality, it's what helped me through being homeless.

This channel was never supposed to gain the number of followers that it has. I don't have the creativity, confidence, humor, passion, or appeal to have this many subscribers. But to those few that do still follow, I will still be creating videos for as long as I can. They just may not be what you like.

Anyways, thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

YouTube took down my most recent video for "enabling dishonest behavior". It's getting harder and harder to post raw, unfiltered content.

Remember this video?

This guy drives a manual CTS-V now. Here's a link to footage of him ripping it.

Me and the boys made a YouTube channel for our car endeavors. Check it out. Or don't.

Shoutout to the 14 or so people that bought shirts back when I was delusional enough to think I had a big enough audience to sell shirts. Also, shoutout to Carlos for being cute asf.

(this isn't a jab at my smol community, I owe you guys everything)
