Crazy nightmare happening on my podcast and I’m removing “fake” accounts left and right with the Arturo Gatti series I’m doing….for context, here is the back story.
When Arturo “Thunder” Gatti died, his wife was initially suspected. She was later released, and his death was officially ruled “self-inflicted,” a conclusion many people questioned. Because his death occurred in Brazil, the investigation and accountability were complicated, and many felt the truth was never fully resolved.
After Arturo’s death, one of his brothers, along with that brother’s wife and children, chose to support Arturo’s wife — the same woman who had been suspected in his death. As a result, they cut ties with the Gatti matriarch, Arturo’s mother, and other siblings who believed Arturo had been murdered in Brazil.
Now, 17 years later, that same woman — who had a child with Arturo, Arturo Jr. — has had her son found dead in Mexico. This time, his death has been officially ruled a homicide. Because of this, many of us are seeking answers about what happened to him.
I started this podcast to raise awareness and to ask questions responsibly. However, members of Arturo’s brother’s family — the same side that supported his wife years ago — are now coming onto this platform attempting to stop that discussion. In doing so, they are directing attacks toward Arturo’s only surviving child, Sofia, who is my niece.
