Repent means to turn around—not just feeling sorry, but changing direction.
Biblically speaking
The word comes from:
Hebrew: shuv → to turn back, return
Greek: metanoia → a change of mind that leads to a change of life.
Repentance isn’t just “I feel bad”—it’s
“I see this differently now, and I’m choosing a new path.”
What repentance includes
💔 Conviction – recognizing something is wrong
🧠 Changed thinking – seeing sin the way God sees it
🚶♀️ Changed direction – turning from sin toward God
❤️ Restored relationship – not punishment, but reconciliation
Acts 3:19-20 Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. 20. Then times of REFRESHMENT will come from the presence of the Lord, and He will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah.
If you need refreshing, examine your life and see if there is anything you need to turn away from. God is truth, He WILL send you Jesus ♥️
