Everyone needs a friend! Whether you're a happy-go-lucky yellow dog (Happy 🐶🐾) with the attention span of a rock, or a super passionate red bird (Yapper 🐦🪹) with a loud beak that won't stop yappin', having someone you can trust by your side makes things all the more better! Enjoyable, even! Or at least tolerable..

Yapper, the little red bird, takes influence from the many aspects of life, some of which include popular characters from both anime and video games that you might be familiar with.

Black Star, from Soul Eater, is by far the most influential on Yapper's character. With an inflated ego, a short temper, and a fiery passion to be the center of attention, Black Star contrasts well against the show's laid-back main protagonist, Soul Evans.

Naruto, from the hit Shonen anime show, Naruto (lol), is another huge inspiration for Yapper's character. With the main goal to have his entire village acknowledge him by becoming Hokage, the leader of his village, Naruto seeks the attention and recognition of the very people who once rejected him. Yapper seeks something similar to the blond haired ninja.

Knuckles the Enchilada, (I mean Echidna), has the most direct influence on Yapper's color and physical traits. Both red, strong boys not only pack the hardest punch in their respective groups, but also have the ability to traverse through the sky. We can't forget about their short fuses or tempers either.

Tails 'Miles' Prower is the 'be all-end all' inspiration and influence for both Happy, the cute, little yellow dog, and Yapper, the rambunctious red bird. While Tails' primary color, personality, and character arch(s) were the base for conceptualizing Happy's character, Yapper does not takes as many pages out of the book of Tails, only borrowing his size and his role to the main character.

If we were to pitch 'Happy Tales' to Sonic fans it would be as follows - Happy Tales is just Sonic the Hedgehog but if Tails were the main character and was a playful dog with ADHD. 🐶⭐️
