This channel aims to promote and uphold the Christian Catholic faith in taking part of the new evangelization as commanded by Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew 28:19 and many Popes have reiterated the general mission that all Christians must fulfill.

Most of the content of this channel focuses on Sacred Music especially traditional ones like Gregorian chants to express the majesty, solemnity, and sanctity of God through music “I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations” (Psalm 89:1)

Also because of the fact that I am a musician myself that is why most of my videos are about sacred music and most have lyrics in order for the listener to sing along. I also teach basic catechism in order to know the fundamental beliefs of the Catholic faith.

I am a recent channel on YouTube so I hope you subscribe to my channel to support it, it will help me a lot in creating more videos.

Ipsi gloria in Saecula. Amen.

NEW VIDEO UPLOAD! | PARCE DOMINE

Today is the beginning of Lent and this hymn is suited for this liturgical season as it expresses the need for repentance from sins especially those which offends God most. As His frail and sinful creatures we implore Him for mercy that His Holy anger may not forever be with us.

Tu Es Petrus

Today we celebrate the Feast Day of the Chair of St. Peter. This hymn by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina though this hymn was intended for the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, nonetheless it can be offered for today's feast as the latin text is based on Matthew 16:18–19 commemorating the Primacy of St. Peter in the Catholic Church as the Co-Shepherd of Jesus' flock.

FEBRUARY 22, 2022 | FEAST OF THE CHAIR OF ST. PETER

On February 22, we observe the Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter, celebrating the doctrine that “Christ the Lord… made Peter and his successors His vicars, to exercise forever in the Church the power which He exercised during His mortal life.”

In St. Peter's Basilica there is an exact copy in miniature of the original sculpture of the Chair of Saint Peter; casted in bronze, and the Chair is located on the Crypt level.

The doctrine of apostolic succession is based on the words of Jesus to Peter in the book of Matthew:

And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” – Matthew 16:18-19

FEBRUARY 02 | FEAST OF THE PRESENTATION OF THE LORD

Hymn in honor of the Presentation of the Lord: The Canticle of Simeon/Nunc Dimitiss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCmgU...

Today the Church celebrates the feast of the Presentation of the Lord which occurs forty days after the birth of Jesus and is also known as Candlemas day since the blessing and procession of candles is included in today's liturgy.

The previous (1962) liturgical calendar refers to this feast as the "Purification of Mary." This is known as a "Christmas feast" since it points back to the Solemnity of Christmas. Many Catholics practice the tradition of keeping out the Nativity creche or other Christmas decorations until this feast.

"In obedience to the Old Law, the Lord Jesus, the first-born, was presented in the Temple by his Blessed Mother and his foster father. This is another 'epiphany' celebration insofar as the Christ Child is revealed as the Messiah through the canticle and words of Simeon and the testimony of Anna the prophetess. Christ is the light of the nations, hence the blessing and procession of candles on this day. In the Middle Ages this feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, or 'Candlemas,' was of great importance.
