Something has to be said about a certain channel that seems remarkably skilled at "discovering" video topics a month or so after I've already covered themβ€”or after other creators have.

Case in point: their *Generation X* video. Sure, they added a few extra layers and their own spin, but the core topic was lifted straight from a video I published earlier:
https://youtu.be/pCQ9BpedDcM

There's a term for that: **idea cloning**.

Meanwhile, I spend my time trying to come up with original topics and essays, regardless of whether they become hits or disappear into the algorithmic void. The goal was never just clicks or subscriber counts. It's always been about shining a light on forgotten media, overlooked gems, and stories that deserve another look.

So I'm not sure whether I should be annoyed or flattered. But to those guys, I have two words of advice:

**Originality, please. 😎**

After all, if you're going to follow my homework, at least try not to make it so obvious.

It's unfortunate to hear of Gerry Conway's passing since he was mostly responsible for one of Marvel’s most iconic characters who helped to usher the Antihero archetype in comics. πŸ’€

An accomplished writer Mr. Conway also wrote for television a few G.I.Joe and Transformers episodes.

RIP Legend.

1977's Baggy Pants and the Nitwits may have been short-lived, but it’s one of the more experimental oddities of Saturday morning TV.

A silent, Charlie Chaplin-inspired cat paired with bumbling retired superheroes? That’s not just weird, but a creative risk you don’t really see anymore.

Its lack of reruns, physical media, or streaming presence may partly stem from Chaplin’s legal protections over his iconic persona, late schedule or that the viewer demographic i.e. kids couldn't grasp its appeal in an era saturated with some generic Saturday morning slop, this show should've had more time to breathe.

Thus leaving the cartoon series stuck in limbo.

And that’s why preserving lost media matters.

Because this is more than just nostalgiaβ€”it’s art.

And like any art, even the strange, forgotten ones deserve to be saved.

NBC's Superhero Drama, The Cape is one of the more divisive shows from the 2000's . Some people love it, others loathe it. While the series has its share of flaws, I can appreciate the ambition and untapped potential especially during the early Superhero craze.

Happy National Anime Day!

Throughout the years, I've covered a few classic Anime shows and hidden gems on my channel despite not being a major part of the format. In the future, is there an obscure OVA or series that deserves a deep dive? And if so, which one?

Sad news: I've just gotten word that Sid Krofft the other half of the Krofft duo had made the transition.

Sid along with his brother Marty played a major part in Gen X children's programming whether it's the Banana Splits, the psychedelic H.R. Puffinstuff , Dr. Shrinker, Land of the Lost or the first female led Superhero duo of Saturday Morning Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, which in regards to the latter, premired on television 50 years ago.

Thanks Sid, for bringing the fun and magic of Saturday Mornings!

Rest In Enternity.

Captain Scarlet wasn’t too violent for kids…it just refused to lie to them.
https://youtu.be/YqOvvvJpqU0
Before cartoons softened the edges,
this show taught a generation that heroes get hurt, death has consequences, and the war never really ends.

Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's Sci-Fi Supermarionation series broke boundaries from displaying violent scenes, to being one of the first children's series to embrace diversity especially during the turbulent 60s.
More than just some kid'sΒ  "puppet show" but a game-changer!

So this was suppossed to be the original premise prior to script revisions ??
Isiah Bradley and Eli (Patriot) played an integral part in Captain America Brave New World but the Studioheads possibly had a change of heart. In my opinion they should have stuck with this instead ofwas given. given.
